Michael sighed into the kiss at the motions of Dare's hand, the breath ending in a low groan as his hands started to move again. One arm moved around Dare's waist, wrapping around while the other moved up to his shoulder, feeling the muscles moving under skin and cloth. The heat was pulsing through him again, from deep inside and radiating out to his hands where he focused part of his concentration, pulling it away from the kiss to feel, though it didn't take away from the intense pleasure of the kiss.

Dare was going slowly crazy from the pleasure. The world was spinning so quickly that he couldn't think, except to cling to Michael, to hold him and touch him, to put everything he had into the kiss. One hand rose again, kneading at Michael's shoulder as the other moved lower, down just below his waist and no further, pulling Michael firmer against him. He needed the pressure, needed just that much relief. Somehow, he justified the action to himself; He wasn't touching anything he hadn't touched before, was keeping his hands outside Michael's clothes. This was okay, it had to be.

Michael took a deep breath at the touch, but past that it didn't make any alarms go off, nothing to make him want to pull away from the intensity of the kiss. If he hadn't been so lost, the extra pressure may have said something to him, that they were possibly getting a little too far into things. As it was, his hands paused in their movements, gripping Dare where they were as though it were the only thing keeping him up.

Dare was so close to breaking, but something kept him from just moving ahead. "I want...more, Michael," he said, the words more heavy breaths than sound as he tried not to break the kiss to speak them. His hand firmed again low on Michael's back, the closest he could get to asking for just that contact, just that friction. The part of his mind that should have been telling Michael to make him stop was blinded for the heat burning him up.

Michael would willingly have went along with whatever Dare wanted in the state he was in, but for the words fighting their way through a mind that was determined to make sense of the sounds. When it finally did, Michael knew it was time to start slowing down, however much his body protested. He broke the kiss, though he didn't pull away, his eyes remaining closed as he tried to catch his breath, and shook his head lightly.

Dare felt like his air had been cut off. With the loss of the kiss, he could feel his body throbbing, screaming at him for being idiotic enough to have said something. Part of him recognized that it wouldn't have been fair otherwise, to take something like that without Michael's knowing consent, but that part of him was currently experiencing massive sexual frustration, and so it took a while for the thought to sink in. "It's okay," he said breathlessly, even if every drop of blood in his body called him liar for saying it. He didn't want that if Michael wasn't ready, even if he really wanted it.

Michael took a few more moments to attempt to calm his blood, though he knew he would feel the effects of that kiss the rest of the day, and his mind started to filter back in. He felt a small wave of guilt, but knew that if they hadn't stopped, more would have happened, things he knew he wasn't ready for, even if he felt the smallest bit stupid for being so uptight about it. He still didn't pull away, letting his arms remain in their places around Dare, in that way continuing the pleasure of just feeling Dare's body against his without the distraction of the kiss.

Dare didn't want to pull away either. He closed his eyes and let his head droop to rest his chin against Michael's shoulder, then slipped his arms further around Michael, just holding him, rather than pressing him closer. He still wanted it badly, but his mind was returning, slowly but surely reminding him why he wouldn't let himself push. You're worth waiting for. Dare turned his head to press a comforting kiss against Michael's neck, then paused to breathe in the scent of his hair, letting it calm him, slowly, but surely.

Michael let his own arms relax then, one dropping from Dare's shoulder to his waist with the other. He didn't let himself speak, though, knowing that if he did the words would probably only end up being some kind of apology for refusing to let Dare had what he wanted when Dare was so understanding of what he wanted, or didn't want. He sighed and let himself rest against Dare, not even surprised at how comfortable he felt anymore.

Dare swept his hands against Michael's back, in no hurry to break away. This comforted him as well, and feeling Michael relax against him reassured him that he'd done the right thing, that it was good that he'd said something. He wanted to talk about it now, wanted to confess that he'd been thinking about it, but it didn't feel right. Not when he'd just impulsively pushed, if gently. He didn't want Michael to think that he was pushing by bringing it up. His arms tightened briefly in a hug before he offered a way out of their thoughts. "Weather's nice," he observed.

That brought a light laugh as Michael's thoughts were broken through, "You've said that already," he pointed out, his eyes opening. The main focus of his vision was Dare's neck, the colored hair laying against it, and his eyes followed the lines, tracing them up and down. It set his mind on the trail that those words had sent them on last time, on the prospect of actually going swimming. He grinned at the thought as the excitement started to build again, pushing away the uncertainty for good.

Dare's lips curved. "I have, haven't I?" he said. He'd forgotten about that, but with that brief reminder, their earlier conversation came right back to him, up to and including his attempt to give Michael a thrill in lieu of stalking. He figured he'd done pretty well on that front. "It's a decent conversation starter," Dare insisted. "Better than a lot of things." Dare sighed with relief, Michael's laugh having done more to ease the situation for him than anything he could have come up with.

"I didn't say it was a bad thing," Michael said, picking his head up slightly. "Last time it led to plans to go swimming and, well," he paused, grinning, "Wonderful tension." That seemed as good a way as any to describe what had happened after the plans. He turned his eyes away from Dare after he spoke, though, as his eyes blazed with the feelings Dare had caused that he had given up on trying to understand.

"God, did it ever," Dare breathed. He felt Michael move, and lifted his head as well, just enough to see Michael's face. He couldn't see his eyes, which was a shame, but he could see that grin, and his own lips curved in response. But he couldn't forget what had happened, or what had almost happened. "I'm sorry I pushed," he said softly. His gaze dropped down to the collar of Michael's shirt. "I got carried away..." A definite understatement, but Michael probably realized that.

Michael tilted his head over to find Dare's eyes. "You didn't push," he said. "You stopped." At least, Michael hadn't seen it as pushing, Dare had said it, made a move, and when Michael showed he didn't want it, stopped instead of trying to convince Michael to change his mind. "It's fine," he assured, his arms tightening for a moment around Dare. He couldn't imagine Dare trying to really push him, they seem to have come to some sort of agreement that they wouldn't do anything unless they were both willing and knew they wouldn't regret it afterward.
