The building was set ablaze from several points. However, it seemed that the fire was reluctant to move into the building itself. But there was nothing to be done for that. There was no sticking around to prod, when something might be seen. The men, faces hidden, scattered, the pop of disapparition crackling through the streets.

Dahlia had apparated to another empty alleyway, for privacy's sake. Finding the jewellery shop again was no difficulty at all, not least because of the blazing fire glowing against the bricks. Several uniformed wizards were gathered around, wands out, fighting the blaze, but Dahlia nearly screamed in frustration. Where was she supposed to take him now? She was beginning to think the entire effort was too much trouble when her eye was caught, through the fire, on the window display, still perfectly intact. She blinked, but the sight remained. The blaze was put out, and she watched from the end of the alley as the fire protection wizards peered into the windows, nonplussed. It was some time before they reached a conclusion and dispersed, and Dahlia was glad of it. Full dark had set in, and the chill breeze was drawing light shivers through her body. Dahlia was forced to levitate Emilian's motionless body to the front of the shop. She tried alohamora on the off chance that it would work, and surprisingly, it did. She didn't argue her luck, but brought him inside as quickly as possible, throwing one last glance to the streets before closing the door and locking it behind her. She paid no attention to the shop itself as she passed through, but headed straight upstairs. magikal05.proboards46.com/index.cgi?board=jbedroom&action=display&thread=3541&page=1#69940
