Michael took Dare's hand and stood, ending up very close to him. He looked up into Dare's eyes and grinned before stepping back, though he didn't let go of Dare's hand. He picked up the book that had been dropped sometime after leaving Emilian's and they began the walk back up to the castle, made longer by their slow movements because of not wanting to leave each other until they were forced to.
