Cassie stopped and turned round, oblivious to his wand she could only focus on Julius' face. "What do you want from me?" she excalimed, the tears pouring down her cheeks. She took a single step towards him. "Julius, I gave you everything, my love, my virginity my soul" she whispered, yet it carried to him in the cool night air. "Then you through it back at me, and walked out on me. I could as well have been dead, to me my life was over" she said softly. "What else can you want of me?" she asked, "what else?". She stood there trembling, her knuckles white and her face pale.

Julius smiled at Cassie, and raised his wand up to Cassie's face. He had to do it now, before his anger ebbed away, before her tears got to him. "I want.......I want..........I want you to forgive me............in the afterlife......." Julius swished his wand through the air, and brought it back down. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" Julius watched the green light explode out of his wand, and rocket towards Cassie. A maniacal grin was upon his face. She never saw it coming. Then it all changed. The light bounced off some invisible wall, and rocketed back towards Julius. The smile on his face turned into a grimace of horror, and the grimace turned back into a smile as his life flashed before his eyes. He thought of his mother, standing at the kitchen sink as he tugged on her apron, asking for some cookies....... He thought of his father, holding his shoulders as the tiny broom beneath him began to buck up....... the happy face of his father deadened, and Julius was eight, standing beside his coffin, tears streaming down his face....... Julius was eleven now, and he was opening up his Hogwarts letter, his tiny hands shaking with joy........ A few years passed, and he was running into a barrel of Bertie Bott's beans, as his eyes lingered on the most beautiful girl he had ever seen......Him and Isis were in the air, and he was chasing after her through the starry night, on his way to his new destiny.....A mad grin was on his face now as he lowered his death eater hood, and killed the man he barely knew.........his mind went black, and when he awoke he was grown now, a teacher, and in love with a new person, a beautiful person............Cassie............he knew the truth now......and it was to late...........he blinked away his memories as the light came within inches. He stared past the light though, at his love, his life. He smiled at her, and mouthed the words, he never should have forgotten. "I love you." The light barreled into his chest, as his lips closed for the final time, and then it was all over, and in the end, nothing really did matter.

Cassie's eyes widened in horror as the scene unfolded before her. Cassie stumbled towards Julius, her breath catching in her throat and her heart hammering in her chest. She shook her head, refusing to believe what she was witnessing. The thought that he had tried to kill her never even entered her mind as it was tortured by the horrific truth that Julius Saturn was no longer on this earth. "No" she sobbed, kneeling at his side. "NO!" she cried again, her voice breaking. Her eyes blurry with tears, she looked down at him, her Julius. He had been the light of her life, her reason to live. He had been friend, confidante and lover. Cassie tenderly stroked his face, pushing the hair of his brow as she always did, weeping. She lay down next to his body, utterly exhausted and emotionally drained. She kissed him, one final time. Sleep finally grasped Cassie, but even in her sleep she could find no peace, her will to live had gone with Julius, and in her sleep, the tears slid down her cheeks.

Hells had word sent to her of a figure loitering in the Forest. She had made her way down to the forest to find a couple laid on the grassy floor. Stepping closer she realised it was the student Cassie and ex professor Julius. His eyes were still open as he laid on his back, staring at the tree tops above. The girl was asleep by his side, her face lined and red from misery. Shaking her head, Hells bent down to Cassie and gently shook her.

Cassie was shaken awake, her head was pounding and her muscles were stiff and sore. "Leave me alone!" she sobbed, turning away from them. Fresh tears were pouring down her cheeks and she was oblivious to the identity of who had woken her. "My Julius" she whispered, looking down at him, "My love". She sat there, knees drawn up to her chest, arms wrapped around tight, frightened and miserable.

Hells bent down to Cassie, putting her hands on the back of Cassie's shoulders. "Cassie. He's gone." She spoke quietly. "What happened here?" She asked softly, her brow knotted as she watched the back of Cassie's head.

Cassie flinched at the touch on her shoulder. Turning she saw who it was and groaned, the last thing she wanted to do was explain. "We had a fight" she said, her voice shaking, "Several, he's been drinking too much and" she broke off. She couldn't force herself to continue, it was too horrifying, the thought that maybe she could have prevented it haunted her.

"Come Cassie" She said, giving her wand a flick so a small whisp shot out and floated away. "I have called for others to retrieve Julius' body and take it to the hospital wing. You should return to your dorm and get some sleep. We can discuss this in the morning if you wish, if it's too painful to discuss now." Hells refused to let her anger at Julius show. She could imagine what had happened, she had seen his wrath too many times now. All that mattered was getting Cassie away from him.

"I can't leave him" she whispered fiercly, "how can I?" she asked, not sure if she was looking for an answer. Tears blurred her vision, and her throat constricted. She touched his now cold cheek with her fingertips, wanting to remain with him.

"There is nothing you can do for him now Cassie." Hells said softly, her hand on the student's shoulder. "But you can help him by coming with me and telling me what happened. Rumours will be flying around the school before we know it and I'd rather hear the truth from you, then some chinese whispers from others." She heard a rustle behind her and new another professor was approaching to take Julius' body to the Hospital Wing. "Come on Cassie." Hells said again firmly yet softly.

Post by Greyson "Grey" Sebastien on Jul 27, 2008 10:24:33 GMT -5
The owl had reached Grey in his office, where he had lingered late after classes rather than return to the solitude of his flat. He knew his weaknesses, and he had been trying to avoid them, though the flask hidden away in his pocket had been relieved of some weight despite his intentions. He had welcomed the interruption, for as morbid and unpleasant a cause as it was.
Grey's face was resigned as he approached the figures he saw between the trees. One he recognized as Hells, whom he had not seen since the night of the boat party, another memory he wished to repress. The other was a student, and between them, the lifeless body of an ex-professor that Grey himself had not known. "How may I help?" Grey asked Hells, his voice low in respect to the grief that he could feel in the air.

Cassie was drained of all energy and she didn't have the will to resist any longer. She didn't even acknowledge the other professor as she rose unsteadily to her feet, she was too tired to muster a response. Reflexivly she clung on to Hell's sleeve to prevent herself from falling, a surety if she stood on her own. She stared down at Julius' body, her mind still unable to grasp his death.

Hells held onto Cassie, fearful that the she should fall through weakness, as she listened to Grey. "Please take Julius' body to the hospital wing." She began, her voice quiet yet affirmative. She met his eyes inquisitively, before turning back to Cassie who still had hold of her sleeve. "I shall go ahead myself with Cassie. She is in a great deal of shock and may need something to calm her nerves." Hells' mask of composure slipped briefly as she bit down on her lip, but she quickly regained control and turned her attention back to the professor. "Thank you." She said, smiling softly, before placing her arm around Cassie and gently led her away from the dead body lain on the forrest floor.

Cassie allowed herself to be led away, but she couldn't help but look over her shoulder, back at Julius' body. Instinctivly she drew closer to Hells as she shivered. She was trembling and fresh tears were spilling down her cheeks. She now had to learn to live in a world without Julius, and she knew it was a world she didn't want to live in.
