Vannah lead Ryan down to the lake. The warm sun heated her face and the humid air felt like it was suffocating her. The water would be cool. Vannah slipped her hand out of Ryan's and walked to the edge of the lake. She kicked off her shoes and stripped down to her underwear. The black contrasted with her pale skin. Vannah dipped one toe into the lake before diving in. She knew better than to get away from the shallow area. "Are you coming?" She called out to Ryan.

Ryan smiled and striped down to his shorts and dove into the lake and swam around a little bit.

Vannah watched him swim around. The water she was standing was shallow enough that her torso was on in the water completely and the red E stood out. She hadn't noticed it at first, but now it made her self-conscious and her hand immediately flew over it to hide it.

Ryan swam up to her and looked at her "I know its there and no one else is here. There is no reason to waste the time trying to hide it. I know you don't like it but no one will see it out here."

Vannah let her hand slide back to her side slowly. "It's so ugly. I wish it could just go away." She said bitterly. She had spent many hours in her dorm room after the incident trying to get rid of it.

Vannah realized the conversation had taken a bad turn. "Shh..shh..no, let's not talk about it now." She said hushing him. She took a step closer to him and pulled him up so he was standing in front of her. "He's not here anymore, right? Just you and me." She said moving her face closer to his.

"Right." Vannah repeated in a whisper. She reached up and kissed him deeply. It felt familiar having his lips on hers. She had almost forgotten how much she had missed being with Ryan. Her arms snaked around his neck pulling them closer. She stood on her tip-toes in the water.

Vannah let her kisses linger. She moved down to his neck. The kisses were soft, but intense. She lifted her head a little. "I love you, baby." She whispered in his ear.

Vannah couldn't stop smiling. She was finally there with Ryan again. No one was there to get between them. As she kissed him, her hand skimmed the water and she brought it up splashing him. Vannah pulled away in a fit of laughter. "I'm---so---sorry!" She said between laughs. "I'm sorry....I just couldn't help it.."

Vannah shrieked and laughed. "You're right.." She admitted teasingly. She splashed him again and began to run away. Vannah was far away enough for him not to get her and she stuck her tongue out at him.
