Larten walked into the Forest . It was cold and dark . The moon was the only thing in sky creating a beautiful scene . He sighed and sat over on a rock . He didn't know what to do . He looked up at the sky thinking to himself .

Another place Kadie liked to go to at night was the forest. And she'd really been avoiding the Black Lake since her encounter with Jacob, even though a huge part of her wanted to see him again. She walked to that familiar place that she always seemed to go to. Only problem was, someone was already sitting on her rock.
She'd been nicer to people since Jacob. People had been confused by it, but she didn't care to explain. She couldn't really explain it herself. She just knew that Jacob was right, and it partly made her angry.
"I thought I'd be the only one out here. What are you doing out here this late?" she asked. It wasn't said with any malice or anything, and just a couple weeks ago, it would have been.

Larten looked behind him and saw a gryffindore girl . " Oh...Well i usaully come out here...To clear my mind...You know ...I'm Larten " he said standing and getting some of his messy hair out of his face showing his dark brown eyes ." I can leave if you want " he asked .

She shook her head.
"Kadie," she introduced herself after he gave his name. That was another something different. Usually she would have first introduced herself as the Snow Queen.
"No, it's okay. You were here first," she said with a shrug. She sat down on a log that wasn't far from the rock.
"I come out here to clear my mind too," she added showing that she understood his first statement.
"So, do you come out here a lot?" she asked curiously, wondering if he did, how she'd missed him before.

Larten nodded " Sometimes...Every other day " he said shrugging " Its just so beutiful at night . " he said smiling " And alot of stuff has been going on...." he said " I'm just so....So..." he couldent finish . He let the sentence drift . He looked up at the moon and then at the girl . " So why is a beutiful girl like you out here in this dark forest alone...Not saying your not capable to protect yourself ...But ...Nevermind " he said looking down at his feet .

She listened to his words and then laughed at his question.
"You're right. I can take care of myself," she said with a nod. It was true. Ever since her encounter with Justin, she'd been able to take care of herself quite capably physically and otherwise. She'd told herself that she was never going to allow another guy to get too close. And that she would never let a guy hurt her physically or otherwise. She hadn't had to worry about a guy getting too close until Jacob.
"I come out here all the time. I'm not really scared of the forest so I have no problems coming out alone. I come out here, I suppose for the same reasons you do," she responded.

Larten smiled at her " Well...Its cold out here...You want to go somewhere else ..." he asked standing up and walking up to her . " You can choose...Anywhere is fine with me ..." he asked shrugging . He put his hands in his pockets " And im bored out my mind." he said with a chuckle .

She quirked her eyebrows a bit as he asked her if she'd like to go somewhere else. Once before she would have said no and been her usual Snow-Queen like self. But something that Jacob had said had really struck a cord, and she was really trying to change. He was right, Kevin wouldn't like to see her this way at all.
"Okay," she finally said with a shrug.
"I don't really care though. You pick," she added.

Larten smiled and thought about it . " Well there is this club...If you want to go there . Ill meet you there . I have to change ...How bout that " he asked looking at her with his eyebrows raised . " I can dance by the way " he said smiling .

"Okay, but it's not a date. I don't date," she said, just to clear that up in the very beginning.
"I'll see you there," she added with a nod. Though really she wasn't so sure that she wanted to dance. But the club did sound fun to her. Besides, for some reason she really did not want to turn the offer down. She didn't want to make him feel bad. Weird. As the Snow Queen, she wouldn't have cared one iota.
She smiled at him then walked away to go get ready.
