Marie was drawn to the music and dancing. She hadn't gone straight there when she had arrived, yet now she couldn't help but enter the ballroom. She smoothed the low cut bodice of her gown, a little self conscious, the fact she was wearing a mask helped greatly though. She gazed around, trying to find a partner she could dance with as she had discovered that resistance was futile.  |

Tristan was hyped on firewhisky . He got on the dance floor and started to dance . His mask was on and his dress robes flowed while he danced . He danced with a number of girls before eyeing one across from him . He walked over to her and held out his hand " Mind if i take this dance " he said smiling ,

Marie dipped into a small curtsy and rose with a smile. "Of course not Sir" she replied graciously. Her voice was lilting and soft, different from usual which she was pleased about, her identity was fully conealed. She placed her hand carefully in his and swept into the right position, her skirts swirling around her.

Tristan bowed slightly and danced with her . He was a good dancer and so was she . He danced gracefully with her . He pulled her into him and he smiled and said " Your good " he whispered in her ear and let her go and danced with her " What is your name " he asked while dancing .

Marie smiled, "Thank you," she said, responding to his compliment. "You are also good" she added. "Tonight I am Marie. And you are?" she asked as they swirled around the room, not colliding with the other couples.

Tristan smiled and countied to dance . "Thank you and I am Tristan for tonight " he said and pulled her back into him . " Why dont we go to the Gardens..." he asked in her ear .

Marie pulled back a little, letting the distance between them widen to the proper degree. "You are too hasty Sir, if you believed I was willing to go elsewhere then you are mistaken. Tonight I came to dance and enjoy myself, that is all" as she had been speaking they had reached the edge of the room and she stopped dancing. She glanced around, hoping there was someone who could replace Tristan, she didn't want this evening spoiled by him yet she didn't want to be rude either. She scanned the crowd, trying to attract the attention of someone else.
