The Princess gave a low, throaty chuckle at that, the gleam in her eyes only growing at the tease. "I suppose that my knowledge about pirates is not as thorough as I might have hoped," she said, playfully excusing herself for having implied that his thoughtfulness was an oddity. "What does a pirate think about, other than treasure and plundering for sad treasure?" she teased.

Jack laughed lightly, "The scenery, of course." His eyes gleamed in humor. Scenery could mean really anything, the ocean, the lands, the girls. He would let her make of it what she wanted. He pulled away from her, bringing her hand up to his lips as he bowed. "I thank you, Princess, for this dance. It was lovely, but, the gardens call to me," he said as he straightened, but he didn't release her hand, giving her the opportunity to come with him if she wanted.

She might have thought that he was retreating, but for the continued warmth of his hand on hers. The Princess dipped into a low courtsey, her skirts pooling around her with the motion. "The pleasure is mine," she returned, then straightened, bringing her eyes back up to those of the gentle pirate. "It is overwarm inside," she said, subtly accepting his offer. "The gardens would be a pleasant change of scenery."
