Tonight history was made as Barack Obama became the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party.... He is now the first ever African American to be a candidate for the President of the United States, and I believe that on November 4th he will win the election and become the first African American President.... This will be a huge step and hopefully he can bring the US out of the hole that Bush put us in.

I have heard alot of talk about this.... I have heard some say that she does and some say that she doesnt..... One thing that is for sure is that Obama does not want her to be VP.... He has put his whole thing on change and changing the way Washington is run, and Hillary is the right in there with how washington is run right now.... So chances are she doesnt get it

eh... as long as a democrat wins then it will be ok.... I think Hillary would be a good president but I don't like some of her policies and I don't like how she handled the past 2 months.... I gotta say though, if Obama losses and McCain is president, I might be coming across the pond and living over there with yall

Bet America are trying to work out what to do. I've heard from some that it's still a big thing over there with racism, and the thought of a black president maybe too big a problem for some. Will be interesting.
I also think it's strange how you only really get two peeps that can go for presidency, whereas here in the UK anyone's up for it. Maybe that's our problem..

There is still a pretty big problem with racism sadly... I just hope no one is stupid enough to actually try anything on Obama.... I have always said that US is the best country but I kind of pulled back on that now.... I do say though that US and UK are the 2 best countries in the world, but since I have never been to the UK I can't judge it yet

I haven't been to America either, so I can't comment on how great it is, but I'm sure it's wonderful from what I've heard from everyone *nods*
So when exactly does everyone get to decide who to have as president?

Election day is November 4th.... everyone will vote, then as long as we dont have something happen like we did in 2000 one of the two candidates will be elected that night.... They don't take over until January 20th though..... I know for a fact that my household is voting for Obama..... I see pretty much no way that Obama losses because he is running against McCain, who is trying to push the same ideas that Bush has used for the past 7 years and Bush's approval rating is only 18%... lowest in American history for a president

My household will be voting Obama too. My state that I live in is very Republican though, so it'll go McCain here. McCain just reminds me of another Bush, though not as bad. Ugh. Bush was horrible. I'm looking forward to him being out. Really crossing my fingers that Obama can pull it out. I really think he can though.

Yeah, Utah voted Bush both times too. There's no talking sense into people around here *shakes head* My very best friend is very very republican. She won't hear a bad word against Bush. Her family all like and respect Bush. I just don't get it, lol. Oh well. Pretty soon we won't have to worry about Bush running things anymore. Although really, Bush was just the puppet. He was too dumb to do things himself so Cheeny was the evil mastermind, xD.
