Harder and Harder to Breath...

Ever since that fateful day in the room of requirement, Jacob just hadn't been feeling like his usual happy go lucky self. Cassie certainly had a way of doing that to a guy. She had some kind of special vodoo witch magic, wrapping a boy around her little finger, and throwing them away like yesterday's garbage. Jacob wasn't going to fall for that again though. Never again. Sighing, Jacob reached his destination, the lake, and stripped off his clothes, revealing a light blue pair of swimtrunks. Jacob smiled up at the dazzling sun above, and then dove into the lake, enjoying the water, and thanking it for relaxing his troubled soul.

Cassie had been sunbathing when she heard someone dive into the lake. She sat up, pushing her sunglasses onto her head so that she could see. When she saw Jacob she smiled. Remembering her conversation with Pandora in the pub, Cassie thought it was high time the games began. She stood up quietly, put her sunglasses on her towel and headed to the lake's edge. She was wearing her best bikini, a stroke of luck, it was weight with red strings to tie at the sides and at the back of her neck. On the bum there was a rainbow and the rest of the bikini was covered in bright stars and hearts. She slid into the water and glided over to Jacob. "Jacob" she said softly, her voice pitched so it would send shivers down his spine.

Jacob was just starting to relax, letting the water work it's magic, when he felt shivers go down his spine. He gulped, and turned around slowly, to see Cassie slowly gliding towards him, wearing an extremely sexy two-piece, and an even sexier smile. Jacob was not going to be that easy though. He glared at her as she came closer, and raised up an eyebrow. "What do you want?"

Cassie's smile faltered a little, and she could feel her eyes change. Gradally she had grown used to the changes and she could now sense what colour they were and sometimes even change them by just thinking she was feeling a certain way. She brushed her fringe out of her eyes, which were a soft, innocent green before answering. "I wanted to apologise. I acted in a totally unprovoked manner, I was extrememly rude to you and now I feel extremely embarassed about how I did behave" she replied, lowering her gaze a little as she couldn't look him in the eye.

Jacob smiled at Cassie, and tilted his head to the side, letting his eyes slide down her body, despite his best efforts to avoid doing so. Did she really think he was an idiot? He may be young, but he wasn't that naive to believe such B.S. He knew all the tricks for a good lie, and the number one rule was to not look the person in the eye. The eyes always gave away way to much information, exspecially Cassie's. Jacob laughed a little, and glared at Cassie. "Why are you lying to me Cassie? Why are you trying to build up false hopes for me? Haven't you already done enough damage?" Jacob's smile faltered a little. He wasn't going to tell Cassie about all the thoughts that were running through his head. Thoughts about ending it all...........Jacob shivered a little, but he held his glare on Cassie waiting for her to respond.
