Liam smiled as he and Marisol were helping the house elves. "So...what else do you want to talk about?" he asked, still scrubing the floor.

Mari had to turn her head sharply away from the horrified glaring eyes of a house elf. "Er..." She stumbled. Small talk wasn't really her thing. "Did you go to any other school before coming here?" She asked.

As Liam was scrubbing the floor, he avoided eye contact with one of the house elves, but this soon turned into avoiding eye contact with Marisol. His face started to turn a deep red as he shook his head. "No...I haven't." he said. It wasn't that he was not educated, but it was the fact he never went to school before hogwarts that made him embarrassed.

"Oh." When it was clear Liam was avoiding eye contact, she looked down. Maybe that wasn't a good question to ask. An awkward silence filled up the air. "So...erm...did you go to the Masquerade Ball?" She asked hoping to get away from the previous subject.

Liam gave her a puzzled look. What in the world was a Masquerade Ball? "Masquerade Ball? I never heard of that..so I guess I didn't go." he said, laughing a little.

Mari grinned. "It was a lot of fun. You dress up as a character, anyone besides yourself really, you wear masks to hide who you are. It is like a ball where no one knows who you are, you get to be someone different, and the food was pretty good." She said with a little laugh. She was always eating.

"Sounds fun." he said, smiling a little. "Maybe next time, I'll go there." he said with a slight laugh. He didn't know if he could pull off any costumes, but it still sounded like fun.
