A comforting enviornment (Open)

[Druscilla Grace]

Dru grinned, "Well, you could say that. It's a good way to relieve stress. And I'm sure they wouldn't put someone on just because they got lucky, you had to do something right." They wouldn't just put someone on the team, they had to have some amount of talent or skill.

[Liam McAdam]

"Makes enough...sense..." he said, rubbing the back of his head. He then realized he forgot to tell her his name. "I'm sorry......I forgot to ....introduce myself....My name is...Liam." he said, hoping not to sound stupid.

[Druscilla Grace]

"Druscilla, well, Dru's what everyone calls me." Dru smiled as her mind went back to how Silver had introduced himself, but shook herself out of it soon. "What house are you in? I'm a Ravenclaw." From the conversation there was no way she could tell which he was.

[Liam McAdam]

"Gryffindor.." he said, pretending to sound happy about it. He did not think he was meant for Gryffindor and thought that the sorting hat was just pulling a prank. He did not seem to be brave as he was scared almost all of the time.

"I don't know many Gryffindors," Dru commented, "Either there's not very many of you, or you all stay holed up in your common room planning something." Her eyes shined with the joke. She doubted that there was anything going on, but then again that death eater attack hadn't exactly been expected by the majority, so who knew?

[Liam McAdam]

Liam heard this comment and did not get the joke. "If there was....any plans....I wouldn't know....about them.." he said, knowing he wasn't the most updated person. His breathing was slightly labored, but not to a degree so as someone would worry. For all someone else knew, it was just the humidity getting to him. Why is it acting up now out of all times? he asked himself in his mind.

"I doubt there's anything going on," Dru said with a light laugh, "I was just kidding." She tilted her head at him. She had never met anyone quite like him before, but he seemed kind of tense. Perhaps that was just his way of dealing with coming to the new school. "So why'd you decide to come here? If you don't mind me asking." He didn't have to answer, she was just looking for something to talk about.

Liam thought about this question. Why did he come here? He did not really have a say in the matter as his home needed him to learn how to utilize magic as his physical abilities did not cut it. "To be honest.....I don't...know why...Where I came from...I did not really.... have a say in...the matter" he stated before thinking about what he was saying.

Dru's eyebrows came together, "They made you come? Did you want to?" While Dru hadn't been too keen on the idea of moving, she had had a say in it and was allowed to put in her thoughts about it. In the end she had agreed to the move.

[Liam McAdam]

"Well....I guess I can't complain...I was trying to find...... a way to go... but they... beat me to the punch...." he said, smiling. He was glad he was somewhere else. There did not seem to be any problems.

"Ah." Dru couldn't understand what kind of circumstance would make him want to leave and come to Hogwarts. No, she shook her head, yes, she did. Plenty of her friends had went to school instead of staying at their houses. She fell into silence, thinking back on her old home.

[Liam McAdam]

"How....do you like it....here?" he asked, unsure if it was the proper time to ask. He kept a positive tone, yet memories kept invading his thoughts. What's the point in trying Liam, you are bound to fail. A man with only one arm and one good lung is a broken tool at best. he thought, remembering the harsh words from his home.

"Yeah, for the most part," Dru said, nodding, "There's some people I'd rather not be around, but all in all I like it. What about you?" She tilted her head at him again, he seemed rather uptight, and she wondered how much he actually liked the place.

Liam took a deep breath to calm down. "It is rather...unfamiliar...everyone seems very...friendly here...It seems to be...suspicious..." he said, inadvertently stating he did not completely trust people here. "It's nice though....being able to learn....about another culture..." he said, referring to the wizarding and muggle worlds.

"Well some people aren't that friendly, you have to watch out for some of them," she said, looking away. She knew a good number that she didn't trust. "But yeah, it's nice being here." Dru had also had to learn a new culture when she had originally moved.
