Silver was on his way outdoors when inspiration struck. It always did it at the oddest times; there was no telling when it would happen. He didn't argue with it. That was why he had his notebook with him, after all. So he stopped along the wall and opened the notebook, grabbed his quill and started writing before the words escaped him.

Boredom had begun to tug at the edge of Pandora's mind but at least for the moment she was safe but she needed to find something to keep her occupied, well what else was new whenever she didn't have something particular that she was thinking about or doing boredom was always there lurking and trying to gain a foothold. She walked down the entrance hall on her way outside she saw someone setting there, someone who she couldn't remember ever seeing before. Awesome, she liked new people because it meant that she hadn't had a chance to get bored of them yet. And there was always that slight chance that she might have found someone truly interesting. "Hey." She said softly realizing that the person before her was writing something. For a moment it reminded her of Lucretia, the other person she knew who truly wrote.

Silver lifted his gaze from the page, momentarily frozen at the sight of another stunningly attractive girl who appeared to be talking to him. He decided that, all else aside, he already liked this school more than the one he'd just left. Maybe it was that they didn't know him yet, but he didn't really care one way or another at this point. The results were the same. He returned the girl's greeting with a low, "hey," his quill having stopped in mid-stroke. He'd suddenly lost his train of thought and couldn't summon up any regret or annoyance at that fact.

He was kind of cute Pandora thought as a half smirk half smile danced across her lips. "What are you writing." She didn't want to just look without writing being that it might be construed as being a bit rude, she did though move forward so that she was standing closer to the boy.
"Oh I'm Pandora by the way." She said sweetly as she waited for him to decide whether or not to tell her what exactly it was that he was writing. She knew from experience that some writers could be very touchy about whatever it was they were writing. She kind of hoped that he wasn't that bad when it came to people being curious.

"I'm Silver. Sylvester, but I go by Silver," he corrected himself. Pandora was an interesting name. He didn't think he'd be forgetting that one, more like wondering if her name had any significance. "I'm just writing down ideas. Bad poetry," he said, his lips curving into an awkwardly self-deprecating smile. Not that he really thought his poetry was that bad, but it helped give him just enough distance in case he read it over later and it was bad.

"I'm sure its simply wonderful, at least better then anything I could write." Pandora had always been better at drawing and had realized long ago that while she could write witty and wonderful essays she could never write a poem and never really tried. She didn't like failing at things, especially when failing at it would be also admitting that Lucretia could do something much better then her the friendly rivalry didn't allow her to admit a weakness like that.

Silver's awkward smile softened. "It's just practice," he said. That, and it was something he loved to do, something that came as naturally to him as breathing, now that he'd been doing it so long. He couldn't help thinking how pretty the girl--Pandora--was. And her compliment, even if she hadn't read his poetry, was a light stroke to an ego he normally didn't realize he had.

He was rather cute, this was going to be lots of fun Pandora thought as she looked over at him and he had such lovely hair "How long have you been going here." The question seemingly came out of nowhere but she made a point of knowing people of interest. And pretty much anyone new became someone of interest automatically, until of course they could be proved uninteresting and dull. She decided to drop the subject of his writing if only for now, it didn't seem like she was really going to find out anything about it anyway and besides she was so much better at talking about subjects she knew something about.

"Just a couple days," Silver said. He laid his quill against the pages of his book, then closed it, not specifically to hide anything, but because the need to write had passed. Whatever he'd been writing before, he could either remember later, or finish with something different. Pandora had his attention right now. "Have you been at Hogwarts long?" he asked, though he had his own ideas about the answer. She had probably come over because she didn't recognize him.

"Oh I've been here almost forever, on and off." Pandora said happily thinking of all the wonderful unsanctioned vacations that she took for herself whenever she felt like it. Her parents didn't really notice that she was gone or if they did she was quite sure that they didn't really care. After all she could take care of herself when she needed to and they did provide her with that brilliant unlimited spending allowance.
"I just recently got back from my most recent escapade a little over a month ago." Her last absence had been spent both of the beaches on southern France and shopping, strangely enough even with her random disappearances throughout the years her grades had never suffered the only part that was even a bit difficult was figuring out what had changed socially and even that had been pretty easily over come this time, even if she had resorted into what could be concidered cheating. Besides the archives of the daily prophet, or at least the gossip section, had been slightly helpful when it came to the big news.

"Escapade?" Silver repeated, amused at the use of the word. He was pretty sure most of the people at his old school wouldn't have had a clue what it meant. "What kind of escapade?" He wondered if it was really that fun and exciting, or whether she'd been exaggerating, which, since he didn't really know her, was possible, though he'd have guessed the former.

Pandora shrugged and leaned a little against the wall, "I get bored and when I can't make enough fun here I leave, I spent most of the time swimming, sunbathing, partying, and shopping." And of course she had met some of the most interesting people while doing it. Of course interesting meant entertaining, at least for a little while, and people with a doubt meant boys, she really got along well with very few girls right off. But eventually it she had decided to come back to her confinement within the castle walls, after all there was only so much she could do and she didn't want to miss anything truly exiting.

"Oh," Silver said, looking at Pandora curiously. There had been girls at his old school who'd done similar things; talked their parents into taking them out of class for an extended cruise or to celebrate something as trivial as getting a couple owls by dropping a few months in Europe. However, not one of those girls had ever talked to him unless absolutely necessary, and they certainly hadn't been polite about it. For all the thoughts in his head, though, Silver couldn't think of a single constructive thing to say, so he didn't say anything.

"Its really fun, besides its not like anyone really cares." No one ever really cared about what Pandora did as long as she maintained the family honor. Well at least her parents didn't, she guessed last time at least one of her friends cared that she wasn't in school but it had been something that she had pretty easily gotten over with. She smiled brightly as she tried to ascertain what her companion was thinking about, she would just have to ask. "A knut for your thoughts." She asked happily even though she thought the phrase was slightly overused, oh well she'd get over it and she doubted that he would care.

Silver blinked, glancing away for just a second at that question. "I was just thinking, someone has to care. I mean, family, friends, teachers?" He couldn't imagine a girl who looked like her not having friends, or at the very least followers. He could almost see Dare's frown at that thought, and he sighed inwardly. He really shouldn't be so judgemental.
