"I'll see you around then," Chase said. He still felt like swimming, despite the cold, and despite the fact that it'd probably make his joints ache. He'd deal with it. "You fine getting back to the castle?" The answer was almost definitely going to be a yes, but he figured he'd ask, especially considering the luck Gabby seemed to have with random Slytherin attacks.

Cassie nodded, I think the nurse found my backbone last time I was in the hospital wing" Gabby said drly, yet a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. She swam to the shore, and grabbed her towel as quickly as possible to try and keep warm. Roughly drying herself off she pulled on her clothes and dried her hair. "See you whenever" she called back to Chase, who was still swimming, before turning back to the castle and returning to the warmth of the common room.

Chase watched Gabby walk away, then turned into the water, stretching his limbs for as long as the cold allowed. The ache got to him, though, and rather than stubbornly fight against it, which he already knew did no good whatsoever, he got out of the water, dried himself, and headed off.
