Libra woke up for the billionth time, or it least it seemed as it, that night. She quietly groaned as she her became wide open once again. All she could feel was her stomach growling at her telling her to get some food. Libra stayed on her bed for about 30 minutes, debating whether she should get up or not. Libra finally decided to listen to her stomach. She slumped out of her nice, warm bed and put on a light jacket and her slippers. In the dark of the night, she could not see anything and clumsily hit her knee into the coffee table in the common room. She was about to scream, but instead she just gave out a scream of air. Limping, she quietly left the common room and headed straight for the kitchens.
Her knee gradually got better as she walked. All she could her were her foot steps and her stomach. She finally reached the doors to the kitchens and slowly opened them. But, of course, it had the loudest creek you could of ever heard. She felt as though she just woke up the entire castle. "Ooppss.." Libra muttered to herself as she finally took her first step into the kitchen, and seeing someone else had already beat her to the left over desserts prepared and preserved by the house elves.

Cassie looked up from the shadows of the kitchen where she had been sitting. Seeing a small figure she relaxed, knowing that it couldn't be a teacher. She slipped off the table she was sitting on and walked into the light so she could be seen. "Hi, get hungry?" she asked with a sympathetic smile. She pulled her blond hair out of the way so the girl could see her.

Libra politely smiled "Yea.. just a bit.." she said, as she walked over and pulled herself on top of the counter as she took a left over cookie from earlier that day in the great hall. "I'm Libra, pleasure to meet you." Libra said with a grin, she hadn't met many people at Hogwarts yet, this unknown girl is the first one she had formally met.
Libra finished the scrumptious cookie and took a chocolate frog, her favorite. Libra was addicted to chocolate frogs, and all chocolate in that matter. She ripped off the foot of the frog and offered to the girl "Chocolate frog foot?" Libra asked, with a bit of a giggle after, it was a weird question.
Libra got more comfortable on the counter. Libra had always been a bit straightforward, ok a lot. It wasn't always a good trait of hers, but Libra was rather fond of it. She tried to bring her straightforwardness out at Hogwarts, she wanted to forget her old life, and build a new one. Libra thought that being herself would help her to do so.

Cassie giggled and nodded her head as the girl introduced herself. "Libra," she said, seeing what it sounded like on her tongue. "It's an interesting name. I'm Cassie, Ravie, 6th year" she said promptly introducing herself.
Cassie laughed softly and went over to the girl, accepting the chocolate frog foot. "Thanks" she said formally with laughter in her voice. She sat on the counter next to Libra and accepted another cup of hot chocolate from on of the house elves with a smile in thanks.
Cassie left it to cool for a moment and turned to Libra. "So how long have you been here?" Cassie asked politely.

Libra ate an arm off the chocolate frog "I never liked my name.." Libra began "It sounds like im an ugly foriegn exchange student from Sweden.." Libra laughed, she truely believed that it sounded like that "I always wanted a name like Rose, or Aurora, something like that!" Libra grinned, but it soon went away thinking of Rose Minsk.. nothing realy went with the last name of Minsk.
Libra took the offered hot chocolate as Cassie did. "Gryffindor.. 1st year." Libra laughed, she seemed so small and puny, 1st year compared to a 6th year. "I think the equivalent of one week.. tops." She laughed, she really hadn't been at Hogwarts that long.. "You?"

Cassie laughed, "I think it's a lovely name" she said blowing on her hot chocolate to make it cool faster. "I always thought Cassandra was far too pretentious and fussy. That's why its Cassie or Cass most of the time now." she said, referring to her own name.
"Neraly a month" Cassie replied in answer to Libra's question. "I arrived from a performing arts college, I finally decided I needed proper magical training, and not just what my parents could offer me during the holidays. It's complicated" Cassie said with a laugh, everything in her life usually was.

Libra laughed at the thought of someone actually liking her name. She bounced off the counter top and got some whipped cream for the cupboard and put some on her hot chocolate. "What some?" Libra asked, as she brought the whipped cream over to the counter and jumped back on it. She listened to Cassie speak. "I love the name cassie.." Libra began "It sounds so.. so.." Libra couldn't think of a word that would fit her sentence "I don't know what it sounds like.." Libra chuckled "I am just quite fond of the name." Libra grinned and began drinking her hot chocolate in small sips. She ripped off the other arm off her chocolate frog and dipped into her hot chocolate. She began giggling "Ah.. dipping chocolate in chocolate.. my favorite.

Cassie giggled and added some whipped cream to her hot chocolate. With her finger she scooped some up and licked it off, "don't you think it would be fun diving into a massive fat of whipped cream?" she said partly to herself and partly to Libra. "I mean, it would be so soft and fluffy" Cassie stopped as she heard herself and got the giggles. She managed to stop and beckoned over a house elf. she whispered in it's ear and it scurried off. Momenets later it returned bearing a plate of fruit that had been dipped in chocolate. "Mmm," Cassie said as she bit into a strawberry. "Now this is delicious" she added before taking another bite.

Libra smiled, the thought of jumping into a big pool of whipped cream made her happy. "Yea..." Libra said, with a gaze in her eyes of wonderment. She took a sip of her hot chocolate. As the house elf walked away Libra said "Yea.. suree.. go healthy why don't you" in a sarcastic voice, but juoking around of coarse. She took a strawberry and did the same thing as Cassie did. Then once again dunked her chocolate frog. "I will i could jump into a pool of hot fudge.. but whipped cream could be on top so you can land in fluffyness." Libra said, laughing at her sweet tooth.

Cassie laughed, "The fudge better not be too hot though" she replied dryly. "Otherwise it would hurt". She sighed and drank some of her hot chocolate, savouring the sweetness of it.

Libra slowly sipped her whip-creamed filled hot chocolate. "I dont mind the hotness.. i would mind the thickness of it." She said, then continued "Because some hot fudge can be really thick!" Libra laughed at her knowledge of chocolate and fudge. She motioned a house elf over and asked him "Do you have Every Flavor Beans?" Then moments later, the same elf came with a platter of them. "Thank you very much!" She said with a grin "You are workign fantasic! Thank you!" The house elf walked away. Libra was really against house elves acting as wizard-slaves. She believed that they should be free, and if they chose to work for someone, they should get payed in galleons. "I hate how these poor house elves do all this stuff with nothing in return." She whispered to Cassie, taking a bean from the tray and soon spitting it out "Ewww! Boggy flavored!"

Cassie nodded sympathetically. "Truthfully, my family has a house elf, but she has a lovely room, is never beaten and my parents never shout at her. She's lovely" Cassie said, suddenly missing her. As Libra bit into the gross every flavour bean she laughed, and hesitantly selected one for herself. She bit into it and gradually a smile spread across her face, "Mmmm sherbet flavoured!" she said happily before eating the rest of the bean.

Libra grinned "Well, as long as people treat house elves kindly, then i am not against it, i just hate seeing defenseless house elves being treaten badly." Libra took the last sip of her hot chocolate to get the taste of boggy's out of her mouth. She took another bean, that looked a somewhat normal color and popped in her mouth. "Mmmm, cherry." She said with a grin. Then took another one without looking at it because she felt the victory of getting a good flavored bean. She soon spit it out to the ground as said "Ewww! Ear Wax! Taste disgusting, worse then boggy's!"

Cassie burst out laughing, then stopped as a though came to her. She beckoned to a house elf and whispered in it's ear when it came over. It smiled up at her and trotted off. Moments later it returned bearing a bowl full of beans, Cassie took the bowl with a smile and a thanks. Turning to Libra she offered her the bowl. "When they get bored the house elves play a game, they dare each other to eat the nastiest beans, it seems they have a sens of humour" Cassie said with a grin. "Anyway, it leaves all the nice ones, so we should be safe eating these ones" She finished triumphantly and placed hte bowl between the two of them, winking at the house elf who had given her the bowl.
