[Jacob Cullen]

Jacob couldn't stand to see Cassie cry. He really was a nice guy, and it just broke his heart that he was causing her this much pain. He held her close, and wiped the tears from her eyes. "Its okay now hun. I am here for you. Always." Jacob smiled, and brought Cassie's eyes up to his. "I am that puppy that follows you home from school one day and won't go away, no matter how much you kick it." Wow, great analogy you idiot! She probably thinks your a stalker now........

Despite herself Cassie giggled and kissed Jacob on the cheek. "I'm sorry I didn't turn up. I'm sorry I didn't send you a message and I'm sorry I haven't seen you since." Cassie repeated, stressing just how apologetic she was. "I've always though puppies are extremely cute" she commented thoughtfully, her eyes softening to a pale green. "I was never allowed one though" she added, looking at Jacob intensely.

Jacob smiled, and kissed Cassie's forehead. He was glad that she had finally laughed a little, and looked to be in a slightly better mood. "Well, you have one now hun, and no one is going to take me away from you." Jacob smiled, and began to slowly dance with Cassie. Jacob was a little embarresed about what he was about to do, but his heart was telling him that it was the right thing. He cleared his throat and began to sing.

Jacob finished his song, and his face flushed red. He stared at the ground, not daring to look in Cassie's eyes in case she started laughing at him.

Cassie let Jacob lead her, her feet picking up the steps so she could focus on Jacob. When he started to sing her heart melted there and then. She closed her eyes and committed the moment to memory, a soft smile on her face. When they twirled to a stop she opened her eyes. She looked at Jacob and saw he was looking down. She lifted his chin gently and without hesitation kissed him. Her lips were soft and gentle, expressing emotions that couldn't be put into words. Cassie softly let the kiss break, but left her lips hovering a breath away from Jacob's. "That was wonderful" she whispered.

Jacob felt his head lift up, and a kiss so................right..................he just couldn't believe that his singing had worked. He couldn't believe this was happening. He smiled, and kissed Cassie back. As the kiss broke, and her mouth hovered above his, his breath caught in his throat. "That was wonderful" she whispered.......................Jacob smiled, and whispered back. "You know the whole whispering thing drives me crazy hun...........it is one of the sexiest things a girl can do to me............."

Cassie laughed softly. Cassie lifted her arm and let her hand rest on his cheek, her thumb soflty stroking his jaw line. "Singing drives me crazy" she said. She then looked into his eyes with her own emerald ones. "Why don't we go somewhere slightly more private." she said, her voice just louder than a whisper. "You can sing and I can whisper" she said, her voice dropping to a whisper once more.

Jacob couldn't talk. It felt like his mind was slowly turning to mush. Just the thought of being somewhere more private with Cassie......................being alone with her.............the thought was just more than he could bear. He smiled, and just nodded his head, which was about the most he could do.

Cassie smiled at her effect on Jacob. She leaned closer to him, so her lips were closer to his ear. "Come on," she whispered. "I know the perfect place." she took a step back and linked her fingers with him. She took a step towards the library doors, tugging on his hand gently to make him follow her.

Jacob was very scared to move, but was relieved to find with his first step that his motor skills were still in tact, a statement that he wished could apply to his respiratory system. He was finding it very hard to breath as Cassie whispered into his ear, and began to lead him out of the library. Any time alone with Cassie was enough to make any man's heart stop, and Jacob was definitely not the exception to that rule. He smiled though, and followed Cassie out, wondering how much more lucky he could be.

Cassie led Jacob out of the library and up through the castle. She turned to him every now and then, reassuring him with a smile. Cassie wasn't sure of where things were heading, but she knew she wanted to spend time with Jacob, and he was certainly willing, not like Julius. Cassie pushed any thoughts of him out of her mind, but as she was turned from Jacob, the smile on her face slipped a little.
