The Leaky Cauldron was officially open just the way she wanted it to be. Pandora had drawings and paintings around the walls without really detracting from the look of the interior and behind the bar she had a very large painting one of the best of those she had done recently and one she had spent a lot of time and effort on. She had decided that she would circulate the paintings that she hung behind the bar every once in a while but this one was perfect for the moment. It was a picture of Lucretia standing in the forest surrounded by wolves. It was dramatic and quite good if she did say so herself something that she hoped that the model herself would like.
She stood behind the counter and looked out the door having already pored herself a drink which she was already sipping slowly. She wondered who her first customer would be being that Lucretia and Eirene didn't really count because the business was something of a very different nature then just coming in for a drink or anything customery.

Kayleigh went to Diagon Alley looking for school supplies, however she noticed the Leaky Cauldron and decided to go in for a drink. There was noone in there and she appeared to be the first customer that day. She saw a girl up at the bar, she looked quite young not too older than herself. She smiled and walked over to her. "Hi, I'll have a firewhisky please. I'm in need of a good drink" she said. "So how is it you came to work here?" she asked, "I don't mean it rudely or offensively, it's just you don't look much older than me" she said.

Pandora had made a promise to herself that she would at least try to be nice to her customers and that promise was the only thing that kept the snide remark that quickly jumped to mind from sliding through her lips. She quickly went and got the order, she even handed the drink to the other girl with a smile "Oh I own the place, though I can only work her when I don't have school or other stuff going on, I've hired a someone to cover the rest of the days."

Kayleigh took the drink and took a swig before resting it on the table, "Wow" she stated, she thought the girl must have had a lot of money own the place, but knew it would be too rude to ask. "So what made you chose to buy this place then. Or was it a family member's before?" she asked a little curious and drinking some more of her drink. "Oh and by the way I'm Kayleigh" she said with a brief smile.

Pandora couldn't help but smirk "Oh no darling this is all mine." She said with a dramatic gesture. She loved and she doubted that anyone who was still in her family would really ever understand why. "Pandora." She said her own name in response, the other girl was definately not a slytherin whatever she was which was a bit of a strike against her but not enough for anything major just yet.

"Wow, I'd love to have a place like this" she remarked with a smile finishing off her firewhisky. "Can i get another?" she asked placing the finished glass on the countertop. "It's nice to meet you Pandora" she added with a smile. "So what house are you in then?" she asked her making more small talk.

Pandora moved to get her another glass and smirked over her shoulder "If it looks like a snake, talks like a snake and moves like a snake chances are its a snake." Her voice became smooth and haunting and fluid, so different then her normal teasing tone, it was a voice that she adopted only rarely but always then it was either to make a point or whenever she was truly deadly. There was something icy within the tone. Just as quickly as it had come it was gone and she smiled "What about you darling." She said putting down the full glass.

"Ahh a slytherin" she said, watching her get her a drink She drank some more. "Well, I'm justa gryffindor" she said, "I don't like the gryffin otherwise i would have made it sound a little better" she said smiling and taking some more drink. "So how long did you say you had this? or hadn't you?" she asked her making more small talk. Her voice was bright and cheery even though slytherins and gryffindors had had their differences since the school had been created.

"Awww...poor little gryffie." Pandora said teasingly her eyes sparkling mischievously, she had refrained from her favorite name for the other girl's house, one because she was sure that it wasn't exactly good bartender behavior to call someone gryffindork and two because the other girl might stop being even slightly entertaining "Oh I think I've had this lovely place for about a week or so, just long enough to get it set up just the way I like it." Sure the only changes she had made were her art work, well that an restocking the bar, but that wasn't something she was just going to say.

"Er thanks" she said unsure really what to say. "well at least you didnt call me gryffindork like many other slytherins ... although" she said with a slight pause, "that wouldnt be good barmanship would it" she said taking some more drink. "Well i must say the place does look better than i remember. The art work in particular is pretty neat" she said with a smile. "Did you do it yourself?" she asked her.

"Yes." Pandora was very proud of her artwork, it was the one thing that life had given her that she couldn't bare to part with. She looked up at the one behind her wondering what the central figure would think of the place if she was there now. People had a tendency to be recurring themes in her artwork though there were very few of them that stayed within her mind long enough for the trend to last. She figured that if someone tried hard enough they could pretty much map out her life according to her art. They would be able to tell where she had been or who she was with or who she had been thinking about simply by flipping through the sheets of paper.

"Well that's an achievement" she remarked, "It's really very good. You could paint and then sell them you know" she said examining the artwork more, it was so beautiful and indepth and she liked that most of the paintings had people in them. "I like the recurring theme of people. The only people i can draw are stick people" she said jokily. "Are they called anything?" she asked more intrigued about the artwork.

Pandora ignored the first question entirely and moved on to the second. In truth she never had concidered selling she gave them away on occasion but selling them would be an entirely different matter. "People are divine, they have so much emotion and you can put so much of themselves into a drawing." People and scenes were what she more or less concidered true art because they held none of her own soul in them and then she had her pieces ones that she drew without a model of any kind and and were taken entirely from memories or her own feelings.

Kay listened, "that sounds very deep" she said, "you know i wish i could draw. Not many things i can do right, my sister can draw somewhat but she'd love your paintings. She's in slytherin as well" she told her not really knowing why. "if she was here you'd probably have a lot more to talk about" she joked.
