Michael grinned and looked down at her, "Yeah, there's a lot of some people in this place. Everyone has their some people. Who are yours?" She didn't have to answer if she didn't want to, but it was true, everyone had people in the school that they were bitter rivals with.

Cassie smiled back, feeling relaxed. "I don't even know some of their names," she admitted, "Emilian was one, although he's not a student her works in the village," Cassie shrugged, there are probably too many name, and some that she didn't want to name.

Michael's eyes hardened when she mentioned Emilian. "What'd he do?" He still felt responsible for whatever Emilian did, even if he knew there was nothing he could do. "He's an old friend of mine," he explained. He had also read the interview, a part of him actually felt sorry for Emilian, knowing that Emilian would have to explain to Adara. Even though Emilian had denied it, Michael knew in some part of him that Adara was something special for Emilian.

Cassie waved it off, "He was just acting like a bit of a jerk. Nothing definite, just little things" Cassie explained. She bit her lip, "I feel bad now, I always manage to put my foot in it" she said sadly.

"No, I just know how he is. I wouldn't take it personally, that's just how he is." Privately, Michael added a thought. He's probably stressed because of Adara. Out of a warped respect for their old friendship, Michael didn't voice the thought, brooding on it for a minute instead.

Cassie nodded. "It's so peaceful here. This seems to be one of the places I'm content to just be. Normally I can't help but dance" Cassie said as she looked around, taking in the forest.

Michael smiled, "Yeah, it's nice out here. Like nothing could go wrong." He realized as soon as the words were out of his mouth that, just because it had been him that said them then they were likely to be proven wrong. He hoped not, it had been fairly quiet lately in his life and he didn't feel like being uprooted by something happening.

"So what year are you in?" Cassie asked, trying to find out more about him. She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them.

"I'm a seventh year, you?" It was pretty obvious she was younger than he was, but Michael wasn't sure how much younger she was. Physically she didn't seem too much younger, and then the things she said were trying to tell him she was a little more younger.

"Sixth year" she replied briskly. Cassie racked her brain as she tried to think of something to say. But her mind was too caught up in her past few days exploits for her to focus on anything. Cassie just lay back on the forest floor and stared up at the sun filtering through the leaves.

Michael was silent for a few minutes, just looking around and listening to the forest. Then he pushed himself away from the tree and put his hands in his pockets. "Well, I'm going to walk on, you can come if you want, doesn't bother me." Without waiting to see if she'd follow, he set off under a branch to see what he could see.

Cassie sat up to watch Michael walk off as she debated whehter or not she would follow him. But Cassie had entered the depths of the forest for seclusion and inspiration, neither of which came when she was with someone else. "See you around" she called to Michael, before lying down again and stretching out her arms.
