"I guess you're right." Vannah said sighing. "One on one there is no one to blame your mistakes on. And it's really not fun when your only other oponet falls off of their broom and is unable to play." Vannah looked at him with a knowing smile. "By accident....of course...."

Vannah found herself laughing as well, which shocked her. The sound of her own laughter had become foreign to her.

Vannah's smile remained, but slowly faded. She was at a loss of words---well any she could say in front of Ryan, at least. She just let out a slow laugh.

"Nothing." Vannah replied reaching over to the table next to her bed and grabbing the pill canister. She took a couple of pills and set the canister back on the table.

"Nothing ran through my mind but this stupid pain." Vannah insisted. "If something did go 'running through my mind' then it probably wouldn't be anything you'd want to hear anyways."

Vannah sighed. The painkillers were making her a little bit loopy. "You know me well enough not expect an answer." She said. She didn't feel like arguing right then.

"That's ridiculous." Vannah said a hint of humor in her voice. She smiled again. Her smile quickly vanished as her hand flew to her stomach, her scar. This was the third time it had been opened and as of right now it brought nothing but pain. Vannah cried out in pain.

Vannah was breathing heavily as she let the pain pass. Once her breathing finally evened out, she felt the cool tracks of tears that had run down her face and already dried. "You know, it's all his fault." She said wearily.
