Cassie paused by a tree to catch her breath. The sun was just on the horizon and it was going to be a warm day. Cassie was wearing shorts and a little t-shirt with her hair up in a high ponytail. She was on her third lap of the lake and was pushing to do five. She sighed, it was so peaceful at that time in the morning and Cassie enjoyed the solitude as it gave her time to think and reflect. She set off again, her feet pounding a path aruond the lake.

Lucretia could feel the urge to escape the confinements of her dorm. Leaning against a tree she gazed up towards the sky. She shut her eyes content, her mind clear of all thought, she felt light today. Opening her eyes she looked towards the lake, another figure in the distance, she payed no attention, she wasn't in the mood for socializing, and she didn't want anyone to disturb her thought, she knew that the calm feeling wouldn't last and it was a matter of time before it was replaced by the negative feelings she had stashed away for now.

Cassie continued on her trek around the lake, pacing herself so she could reach her goal. As she drew closer to the trees she saw a figure leaning against a tree. It was unusual for anyone else to be up at this time and Cassie would ahve felt rude to jsut run on by so she decided to stop. "Hi," she said a litle brethlessly. "It's perfect at this time huh?" She said conversationally as she stretched.

Lucretia was lost deep in thought, she didn't want to be disturbed. the sound of someones voice made her snap, her jaw clenching with an audible snap. The girl didn't seem antagonistic, but Lucretia didn't care, this girl had ruined her perfect moment.
"No." she said, she thought it was peaceful, but not perfect. Perfect for her was late at night, the day was like the exact opposite, it's own beauty, but did not hold the same attraction for her,

Cassie was a little taken aback by the girls reaction. "Oh, I'm sorry" she said politely, "Are you ok?" she asked a moment later, the girl seemed to be troubled and Cassie would be glad for a rest.

Her eyes trailed up to the girls face, she never met this girl before, so she shrugged, she didn't have a problem, really.
"Not that it's any of your business." she said with a raised brow. That was too harsh, but the girl could take, and if she didn't Lucretia really wouldn't care much.

Cassie shrugged, "Whatever, I've still got two laps to do before breakfast" Cassie said as she started to jog off.

Lucretia smirked, so this girl was just going to run off, it suited her well, but she still couldn't resist the urge to ask.
"So your just going to walk off, no taunt?" she asked curiously.

Cassie stopped and turned round, placing her hands on her slim hips. "Why should I bother" she shrugged, "I dno't care, I was just being friendly, you rejected it. I can move on with my life, like I said I've got two more laps to do" Cassie said. She turned to go again.

Lucretia looked at the girl, she was well toned, probably a dancer, or someone into active sports. She snickered, the girl was well toned, maybe a little too much, but she didn’t really care.
“Really? So you want to be a builder or something.” she asked with a small smirk. She had remembered once as a child seeing a muggle, and thought it was a man. Turned out it was a woman who was raging with testosterone, not a good sight.
Lucretia laughed remembering how her parents put her through training all the time. They forced her to work on flexibility and agility, but she never found the need to overdue it, she preferred looking curvy, and being a stick figure was not her thing.
“Are you always out in the mornings, or was this a spur of the moment decision?” she asked, she had been out here sometimes from dusk to dawn, and she never recalled seeing this girl, or maybe she was new.

Cassie shook her head. "I'm a dancer I need to keep up my stamina and running is one way to do it" she said. "I run four times a week, in the morning so it's still cool. I need to keep toned, I don't want to be too thin, but I can't really ahve any excess body fat" she said. She wondered why this girl was making such a big thing out of it. she was simply jogging to keep fit as a dancer.

Lucretia leaned back a small smile on her lips, enjoying her own inside joke. She paused for a moment, not sure why, but this girl wasn't exactly her type. Her hand disappeared in her robes pulling out a book, her fingers tracing over the spine. Opening it the symbols so foreign, familiar to those of the east. No one in her family understood the book, or her fascination with it, but she liked it all the same.
"Does your life revolve around dancing?" she asked, she was stirring the conversation somewhere, being the good manipulator that she was, she wanted to have a little bit of fun, her amusement showing in her eyes, however the source of amusement was a mystery.

Cassie frowned slightly, and confusion flickered in her eyes. But it didn't last long as Cassie's face smoothed and her eyes turned grey. "It used to" Cassie said, "It's still extremely important to me. But now I'm here my magical education means jsut as much to me." Cassie said. "It was never neglected before as my parents taught me at home. But here I can fully focus on magic." Cassie added, subtley telling the girl that she was a strong magic user as a slight warning.

Lucretia wasn't afraid, she herself was practiced at home, black magic being her strength. The threat didn't intimidate her, but only made her smirk grow.
"Thats too bad, it doesn't seem like you could succeed in anything else, maybe you should stick to dancing." she was making her move, the girl was clearly confused, but she would just continue, wanting to see how well the girls mind work, her own little test.

"And why doesn't it seem that I could?" Cassie asked softly as she remembered exactly where her wand was stowed although using it would be a last resort. She could tell the girl was toying with her somehow, but Cassie hadn't been around long enough to pick up the characters of everyone. She smiled innocently at the girl, but it didn't reach her eyes as they stayed the same somber, flinty grey.
