Emilian forced himself to break the kiss, looking down for a second to collect his thoughts and get his breathing under control. "I give you ten seconds to go," he said, his voice low and giving no chance for argument. He didn't look at her as he took his hands from her hips, knowing that if he did it wouldn't help his resolve.

Eloise flinched at his tone of voice not moving though, "I know you want me..." She whispered gently, she wasn't going to give up, she didn't want to exit his shop, his life, it would be better to stay and see what he did rather than leave and regret it later. "I tried to change... to test myself in coming here but I guess I can't do it, I want you and it's nothing I can control..." She said not wanting to lose the closeness, keeping herself attached to him.

Emilian pulled away from her and went to the door leading to his stairs. "When I come back in here, I want you gone. And I don't want to see you in here again." He opened the door and went inside. It was probably not smart to leave her in the store, but everything was locked, she couldn't take anything without knowing the proper spells. He locked the door behind him and sat on the bottom step, his head in his hands.

Eloise sighed, she didn't know what to do with herself anymore, she wouldn't let the emtional blast sink in, she didn't want to feel the pain she knew it would come though, when she was sleeping, in class it would be unexpected. "Emilian... I'm not going to leave." She said her voice breaking at the last word, she didn't want to leave, to face the outside world even though Emilian was a million times worse she couldn't bare it.

Emilian couldn't believe it, did she just not get it? If she stayed much longer, he wouldn't even have any interest in her, he would be so sick and tired of her that he wouldn't be able to so much as look at her, much less want her. He ignored her and didn't reply. He sat there on that step, his face buried in his hands, silently begging her to leave.

Chase didn't read the paper, and he'd never asked about Emilian, so it didn't occur to him to stay out of the jewelry store. When he'd lost his earring swimming in the lake, he'd just decided to come to Hogsmeade and buy a new one. Chase walked in the door, and didn't see anyone behind the counters.
What he did see was an attractive girl standing in the middle of the shop. His gaze reflexively moved over her body before rising to her face. "Eloise?" He'd only met her once, but he could have sworn she was blonde.

Eloise bit her lip as Chase entered the store, she could feel it now as another person was in her presence, the pain, it tore through her. She closed her eyes for a few moments focussing on her breathing, she ran a hand through her long dark hair before looking up at Chase. "Chase," She said with a small nod. "He's in there." She said turning nodding toward the door, turning on her heel she made her way to the front door, she couldn't take being there a moment longer, she didn't leave though, pausing to look at Chase.

It was obvious that something was wrong. Chase's eyes followed Eloise as she moved past him, wondering what it was. He glanced back at the door, unaware of who he was, other than the shopkeeper. It still hadn't occurred to him that the shop belonged to Emilian. Chase turned his full attention to Eloise. "Are you all right?" His eyes showed genuine concern. He'd had precious little to fight for lately.

Emilian could hear the voices through the door and grimaced. Firebrand. Wonderful. That was exactly what he needed to finish off his day. He stayed behind the door for a second longer before standing up and rubbing the back of his neck. With his other hand he unlocked and opened the door, slipping out and leaning against it. His eyes settled on Chase and he became keenly aware of the marks on his body. "Can I help you?" he asked coldly, not caring that he was interrupting whatever conversation they were starting, just wanting to get the both of them the hell out of his shop.

Eloise looked toward Chase and nodded, "Yeah I'm fine." She said in a cracked whisper unable to pull herself together. Eloise clenched her fists as Emilian walked in on the scene, looking away as if there was no new addition to herself and Chase. Eloise knew about their history, she had gone to see Emilian in the hospital wing too, yet at that moment she seemed more fonder of Chase than she was with Emilian, hate spreading through her at the thought of being in the same room as him now, her feelings toward him changing in a second.

It was only as Chase's eyes found Emilian's that Eloise's earlier words hit him. He's in there. Said in that small, scared voice, and knowing Emilian's habits, the most reasonable conclusion was also the most damning. "Are you sure?" Chase asked Eloise. His fingers curled into his palms. He'd told himself he was through attacking Emilian, but if he was doing the same things he'd been expelled for...it was tempting to react. Chase looked back at Emilian again. "You don't really own this place, do you?" The question was asked with more hopefulness than annoyance. It was too much to ask that Emilian just worked here, and Chase knew it.

"Eloise, I've told you to leave, now, if you don't mind." Emilian's voice was dismissive and he kept his eyes on Chase. "Actually," he said, turning his gaze back to her, "Even if you do mind." He raised his eyebrows at her and then looked back at Chase. "And yes, I do own the place." The expression on his face dared him to say something about it. Out of the corner of his eyes he had noticed Chase's hands and it put him on guard.

Eloise looked at them, before looking at Emilian, "I don't want you two fighting..." She said coldly, "I'm not leaving til he does" She said turning to look at Chase, "Sorry Emilian," She said snidely before turning to look at Chase. Eloise didn't want to have anything to do with Emilian, she was already hurt enough by him and she knew well enough by now to keep her distance, knowing of what he was capable of.

Chase spared a cocky smirk for Emilian at Eloise's words. He wondered briefly who she was trying to protect. Not that it mattered. He wouldn't refuse the buffer of her presence. It would be infinitely easier to get what he needed and leave without doing something stupid. "Since we're all staying, and as far as I know there's not another jewelry store in Hogsmeade, I'll let you help me." Chase smiled urbanely. "I'm looking for an earring."

"Well in that case," Emilian said to Eloise's assertion that she wasn't leaving until Chase did. He looked at Chase again, "Could you be any more vague?" He went over to a display full of single studs and hoops, making sure to keep both Chase and Eloise in his sight. "You know, I've always liked a guy with his ear pierced," he said, grinning, despite the tension in the room, remembering Chase's reaction from back in the hospital wing.
