Reed turned the cool knob and stepped into the Room of Requirement. She smiled and closed her as she she could feel the transformation.
Reed opened her eyes when she felt the cool wind soak through the thin layer of her sweat pants. She had picked the lightweight dark blue underarmor shirt she had brought from home because she knew her dark bruises would be visible through the light one she had. The magical room had revealed a perfectly green soccer field with all of the markings and goals included.
Reed ran a few laps around the field before she pulled the soccerball out of the bag she had lazily threw down earlier. The warm sun was beating down on her allowing a thin layer of sweat to form on the side of her face. She threw the ball up in the air and began juggling as it came back down. She started with her knees but then moved to her shins, feet, head, and kept rotating. Her back was to the door and she hummed as she warmed up.

Chase had only been heading for the front of the castle, toward the lawns as usual, when he'd seen a brunette slip through the hidden door to the Room of Requirement. He'd only been in there once, following another brunette, and the situation was so similar that it felt like deja vu. It couldn't be Dru, and even if it was, he shouldn't be following her. But shouldn't and couldn't meant little when faced with such a surreal temptation.
Surreal it was. When Chase opened the door, there was no cozy room and squashy couch, but a stretch of field for some Muggle sport Chase didn't recognize and a girl who was not Dru. Chase pulled the door shut behind him and stood, just watching her, waiting for her to finish what she was doing.

Reed turned around, her hums becoming more of a song as mumbled words formed. Her eyes were down and when she stretch up they followed. But something got her eye. Not something, someone. Reed abruptly stopped singing and moving. She squinted her eyes, not recognizing the intruder. "Who's there?" She called to the stranger. She mentally cursed herself for keeping her wand in her bag.

"Firebrand. Chase," he corrected himself. After the incident with Brooke, he'd decided to just leave his surname out of it. Chase started across the field, looking around at what appeared to be an elaborate fantasy place. The breeze ruffled his hair as he approached the girl, visually taking her in without being obvious. "What kind of sport is this?" he asked.

Reed dropped the ball on the ground and kicked it in front of her feet. "Soccer." She said juggling the ball in between her feet on the ground. It occurred to her that he probably doesn't know what it is. "Want to play? It's quite easy and pretty boring playing against yourself." She said with a small grin and an arched brow. She kicked the ball over to him with force.

Chase reflexively caught the ball under one booted foot. His lips curved, and his eyes gleamed at the playful challenge she'd given him. "Easy, is it? Why do I think I don't stand a chance?" He looked down at his feet as he attempted to duplicate the steps she'd taken juggling the ball. It took some concentration, but it was better than his first time on a broom, at least. He stopped and kicked the ball back to her. "What's your name?" he asked. "So I know who I'm going to annihilate." It was a blustering tease; he'd never played the game and knew she'd probably kick his ass, but why admit it? Chase grinned at the thought.

The ball strayed to the side slithly and Reed laughed. "Reed." Reed said, before adding, "Brennan." She raised both of her eyebrows innocently. "Of course you don't stand a chance." Reed smirked. She rolled the ball onto the sole of her foot and flipped it up in the air before head-butting it into the goal near her.

Chase watched the arc of the ball and let out a low whistle. "Nice," he observed, turning his gaze back to her. "How long have you been playing, Reed?" There was something about a girl into sports that was undeniably appealing, likely the tie to the physical, but he wouldn't admit it. "You're pretty good." Not that he had anything to compare her soccer skills with.

"Fourteen years." Reed called behind her as she went to retrieve the ball. She came back. "Fourteen years all together. Fours years in a league before I came here." She said. The ball was in her hands and she tossed it up and down. "So I assume you don't know how to play?"

"Not a clue," Chase admitted, holding up his hands in mock defeat. "Most of what I know about Muggles I read in Muggle Studies." And the odd science fiction book, but that information was on a need-to-know basis. No one needed to know. "So you've been playing since you were what, two? Three?" She had to be about his age, but you couldn't always tell.

"Three." Reed confirmed. "I'll teach you, it's pretty simple." She released the ball and let it drop on the ground. She stopped the bouncing with the ball of her foot. "Rule one. The only time you can use your hands are when you are throwing the ball in from the sideline. Rule two. You can only kick the ball using your either side of your foot or where your shoelaces are. Never use your toe." She demonstrated each method as said them. "Rule three. No shoving your opponent out of the way. That's how you get a penalty. Kick the ball up and down the field to get to your goal. Once you reach the goal you must kick the ball into the net and your opponent has a chance to block it. You can use your forehead, chest, or feet to direct the ball. Got it so far?" Reed asked taking a deep breath.

Chase nodded. "Yeah," he said, still watching Reed. He wondered idly if she had any clue how attractive she was. Obviously she didn't read the paper or there would have been some recognition, but for once, he was perfectly happy to be a relative unknown. "Is that it?" he asked. It sounded pretty simple so far, nothing like Quidditch.

Cassie was exploring the castle as she got used to her surroundings, the letter telling he which house she was in was late and so for the moment she was homeless. Her long blonde hair was caught up in a messy bun and she was wearing shorts and a vest. She made her way up through the school until she got to a corridor that she recognised from stories. Cassie saw that the door had already appeared meaning that someone was inside. She walked over to it and slipped inside. What she saw was a surprise, but it didn't deter Cassie and she walked over to the two people inside and smiled at them. "Hi I'm Cassandra, but friends call me Cassie" she introduced herself, hoping her attitude wasn't too forward. Cassie pulled a lock of hair out of her green eyes.

"Yes, it's pretty simple." Reed said grinning. She noticed the looks he gave her, but ignored them for the moment. It was easier to do than she thought. "There are a whole bunch of different moves and penalties with it, but we don't have to get into that. It's pretty boring." Another voice suddenly surprised Reed and she wipped around causing a dull pain in her side. "Oh..er..hi!" She said welcomingly.

"Ive only just arrived and I was exploring the castle, I hope I'm not intruding?" Cassie said anxiously, smoothing her hair, a habit when she was anxious of nervous.
