Dru's eyes were red and puffy, and so was her nose, from crying. Her arms were wrapped tightly around her and she walked slowly, as if in a dream. She had been thinking of Chase ever since their conversation in the Entrance Hall, and every now and again a tingle from a remembered touch would run through her and with it would come fresh tears. For there to have been no emotional connection, the break-up affected her greatly. And it was a break-up, even if he had said take a break, it was over, and he was probably with some new girl. She wanted somewhere quiet to just sit and cry it out, but the only place that came into her mind was the back room of the club, and that was one of the very last places she wanted to be.

Gabby was walking through Hogsmeade, enjoying the fresh air when she saw a familiar figure in front of her. She made her way towards Dru, a smile on her face as she hadn't seen her in a while. But when she drew close, her expression changed to that of concern. "Dru what's happened are you ok?" She asked softly, she didn't want to startle Dru and she seemed to be quite upset.

Dru didn't even attempt a smile when she saw Gabby, it would have been useless to try. "We broke up," she said, coming to a stop and looking down at the sidewalk. "Yesterday in the Entrance Hall." She hadn't slept well the night before, her dreams had been full of images of Chase and so she had finally given up and went down into the empty common room to try and lose herself in a book.

"Oh Dru," Gabby said. Gabby hugged Dru tightly. She had known that something was rocky between them but she hadn't relaised things had been this bad.

"We argued, talked, whatever, a little and decided it would probably be best for us." Dru didn't react to Gabby's touch. Yes, they had both figured it would be best, mostly because of the stress and how unhappy they were, but it didn't make it any easier. Dru still wished there had been a way around it.

"It's never easy," Gabby said, "but I'm not the best one to be giving advice. Do you want to talk about it or try and take your mind off it?" she asked Dru, hoping it was the latter. Gabby stepped back from Dru, taking in her appearance.

"When I'm still hoping that I'll wake up and it'll be a bad dream, or that he'll turn that corner," Dru gestured with her head up a little ways to a dead end alley. "And take me back, I don't think you'd have any luck getting my mind off it." The other option didn't seem too appealing though, either. She sighed, "I just wanted to be happy."

"Everyone does," Gabby said, wishing that she had the right words to comfort Dru with. "Why don't we go for a swim?" Gabby suggested "we could use the Room of Requirement if you didn't want to be by the lake." she left ~in case chase is there~ left unsaid but knew that Dru would know what she meant.

"I don't know....I need to go to the club...." Dru's voice trailed off. The people that worked for her knew what to do if she didn't show up, though. It was business as usual, they knew they could send an owl to her if they needed to and she would show up eventually. "Yeah, alright," she said, turning towards the school. "That sounds good."

"The room or the lake?" Gabby asked hesitantly. She took a few steps and waited for Dru's reply.

"The lake, I'll take the sun." Maybe that was what she needed. While Dru honestly loved a generic pool, swimming in a pond or a lake was much better. "There's that one place where you can dive in..." she said, thinking.

"Sounds great," Gabby stopped and though for a minute. Closing her eyes briefly and muttering a spell under her breath, she waved her wand, holding her other hand out. When she opened her eyes she was now holding two towels, her favourite bikini and the one Dru had been wearing when thy had met by the pool in the room. "Here you go" Gabby said, offering the bathing suit and a towel to Dru with a smile.

Dru smiled and took the suit and towel. "Thanks." She started walking slowly, trying to focus on the prospect of swimming instead of on the break up. The thought crossed her mind that Chase could show up, but she tried her best to push it away.
((you can start it))
