Dru came into the Hospital wing, eerily quiet in the dark of the night. Her eyes glossed over the form of Chase in a nearby bed and focused on setting Storm down on a bed and going for the nurse. The nurse rushed to Storm's bed, muttering something about how she had had way too many students in there because of duels on the way. Dru lagged behind but felt compelled to stay and see what was going to happen to Storm. She pocketed her own wand and lay Storm's on the table by her bed as she watched the nurse in a silent daze.

She felt her body touch the comfort of the bed, she couldn't open her eyes, not sure where she was, maybe she was dead. The feeling of someone hovering above her scared her, she thought she was in Hell. She deserved this, knew that the pain in her stomach intensified because of where she was. Storm let out a groan in pain, she knew she would have to open her eyes, but she couldn't it was then that she realized that she wasn't dead, that she had to cling to what was left of her life. Another groan escaped her lips, as the blood poured from them. The pain was too much, but she welcomed it, at least it proved that she was alive. She noticed that there was something in her hands, it was cold, her dagger, she felt hand try to pry it away, probably the nurse, but she wouldn't let go, she let out another loud growl, this time it was pain intensified with a territorial feeling of her heirloom.

Why was she still there? Dru hated the girl laying there on that bed, but she couldn't pull herself away and she grimaced when she heard the sounds coming from Storm. Luck of lucks the bed by Storm was empty, and Dru sat on it, tense and shaking, her arms wrapped tightly around her. She hung her head, a curtain of hair hiding her face from view, and tried to sort through everything. Her mind and body felt numb, as though she were watching what was happening, and not really a part of all of the memories and thoughts running through her mind.

What was only about an hour felt like days, until finally the nurse was done. She listened to the silence before opening her eyes, they adjusted to the figure on the next bed, seeing it was Dru shock overcame her body. She didn't expect this, not from Dru.
"Why?" she croaked the taste of blood still fresh in her lips, it seemed the nurse had only fixed her, Storm knew that the clean up would be the next morning.

"I couldn't leave you out there," Dru said in a soft voice that sounded like it was on the very edge of breaking. It didn't explain why she had stayed, though. She didn't look up at Storm, she didn't look at anything really. Her eyes were turned to her knees, but they were unfocused and glassy. "You might've died." Dru wouldn't have been able to live with the fact that she had been able to help, but hadn't, so she had had to help.

Storm looked away eye brows furrowed, she looked at her bloody hands, the dagger still clutched in them, she hadn't let go of it.
"I almost killed, you should have let me die, wouldn't life be easier?" she didn't understand exactly why, wouldn't Dru have had no competition if she just left her to die, wouldn't Dru not have to worry about Storm trying to get Chase.

"I know," Dru said bitterly, it wasn't as though she hadn't considered that possibility. She pulled her legs up, her feet on the frame of the bed, and tucked her knees to her chest. Her arms wrapped around her legs and she lay her head on her knees, looking through a window. "I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I hadn't helped, however much I may dislike you, I still couldn't let you die."

Storms eyes grew wide, she gave Dru a small smile, though the pain made it look like grimace. She winced again, coughing, small blood spatters on her hand. She took the blade setting it on the table beside her.
"I think your right, that no matter how much I try, he'll never be mine." she said this time looking Dru in her eyes, Storm was expecting the crazy part of her to reawaken, but it didn't, hopefully it was dead.
"I should..." she tried to move again, this time letting out a groan in pain, she slumped back her hands balled up, she hated feeling weak.
"... leave everything as it is." she finally managed to choke out, although a small trickle of blood made it down the side of her mouth, she wasn't bothered enough to wipe it, it seemed that it would happen a lot more till she was fully healed.
"I... I don't ask for your forgiveness, I could never be that selfish to ask, but at least for your understanding." Storm would have never said any of these things, in her moments of unconsciousness, she was able to sort everything out, finally able to comprehend all the wrongs that she did, and she would have to restart, if she could that is.

"Understanding for what? Screwing my boyfriend or for all that happened in the forest?" Dru asked, her voice still bitter. She didn't exactly believe Storm, she couldn't believe Storm. Not really caring to hear the answer, Dru stood, taking a moment to catch her balance; she was still shaky from the curse Storm had used. She closed her eyes and put a hand on the bed, alternating images of Storm and Michael flashing through her head.

She paused, expecting this reaction, she shook her head, she wasn't talking about that.
"I'm human..." she struggled to say, taking a deep breath she tried to continue.
"I'm flawed, I have a lack of self control, but I'm trying... to over come that." she was getting sick of the pain in her gut, it hurt, but she wasn't going to give up.
"What happened that night, wasn't supposed to be, don't blame him, it was all me, the other me." she finally chocked out, she looked up to the ceiling, maybe being in the hospital wing will give her a time to reflect.
"He's not going to want me after this, and I won't blame him." she said a small giggle escaping her lips, at least she was comforted that he would stay away from her, it would be better this way.

"It takes two to tango," Dru said in response to Storm's assertion that it was all her that night. "Whatever, you're going to live, I've done my duty." She turned to walk away, not wanting to be in there with Storm any more. It was like she had to have Storm to hate, and she couldn't stay and let that go, because then there would be no one for her to be angry at, nowhere for her to direct her confusion.

Lucretia smiled, she was sure things with Dru would never be the same, but she would try to fix things up at least.
“Yes, it does.” she muttered to herself. She watched Dru’s back before, a thought came to mind.
“I’m no longer Storm, its Lucretia.” she said, slightly twitching from the pain. Storm was gone dead, none existent.

Dru fought down another "whatever" and walked out of the Hospital wing. Outside, she leaned against the wall, staring blankly ahead of her, her arms crossed tightly to avoid trembling. She didn't think she would be able to ever speak to Storm....Lucretia, as she had their first meeting, at least not as long as Dru was with Chase.

Lucretia watched as Dru left, she wanted to call out to her, but Dru was worn physically and emotionally. Lucretia picked up her wand, twirling the wood in her hand before closing the curtains, she hoped no one would find out about her being in the Hospital Wing.
Lucretia felt something hot and wet slide down her cheek, raising her hand she realized she as crying, she wasn't sure why, but maybe this would be her chance to be able to let it all out, and she did.
