Vannah had been sitting under the tree for a while now. She had her Herbology book open in an attempt to study. Her already golden brown tan was getting even more of a crisp tan. She glared at some noisy first years that were bothering her. Vannah kicked off her sandals and she had left her robes in her room, dressed in some short shorts and a tank. Her golden hair was pulled back into a ponytail that leaned to the side a bit. Her curls poured down over her shoulders.

Ryan was walking by the lake and he saw Vannah sitting under a tree. He walked over to her and stood next to her "How are you?"

Vannah's head shot up at the sound of someone's voice. She smiled at the familiarity of it and got up. Vannah dropped her book on the ground allowing it to close. "Hey!" She said happily. She walked over to him and threw her arms around him. "I thought you wouldn't want to speak to me!" She exclaimed, noe relieved.

Gabby walked down the castle steps, she needed some fresh air. Today as it had grown warmer Gabby had left her robes off and was wearing a knee length, white floaty shirt with her favourite converse and a green top. Her hair had been left loose and her loose curls were tumbling over her shoulders.
As Gabby got closer to the lake, she saw two people there, and she recognised them simulataneously. ~Oh boy~ she thought, down by the lake was her favourite, and least favourite people, Ryan and Vannah. Gabby changed course so she was soon walking towards them. Then she saw Vannah throw her arms around Ryan and Gabby sped up until she had reached the pair.

Vannah looked over Ryan's shoulder. "Oh, great." She said sarcastically. Vannah rolled her eyes as she saw Gabby. For some reason, the girl looked even younger in the light. Vannah sighed. and moved her hand over where she had placed her wand, hidden.
Here to rain on my parade, Vannah thought. She was almost happy there for a moment.

Ryan was suprised when Vannah got up and hugged him and said "Why would I not talk to you?" As soon as he said that he looked over and saw Gabby "Hey baby." he said looking at her.

Vannah's mouth hung open in shock for a moment. She closed it. This couldn't have been happening. Maybe she heard him wrong. "Excuse me?" She blurted out. She hadn't noticed how loud it was, but luckily most of the people had already evacuated. She glared at Ryan, waiting for an explanation.

"Hi honey," Gabby said, giving Ryan a swift hug and a kiss on the cheek. She could feel her wand, amd would be able to grab it in an instant, but she didn't think Vannah would try anything with Ryan there. Gabby looked at Vannah, "hi," she said quietly and respectfully.

Vannah left a bitter silent for a moment. "Funny." She began. "I never thought you would end up with a little kid." Vannah said referring to the obvious age difference. "Especially one who can't help but running during a fight." She said then referring to the night at the lake. While she spoke her eyes stayed on Gabby as if to shoot daggers through them. "But then again I never thought you were a liar either." Vannah's eyes moved to Ryan and a sharp pain pierced her heart. Her face was blank but the cold hardness that anger left. It was a little bit pale.

Gabby went pale, ~this is not going to end well,~ Gabby thought. But she wasn't going to do anything, she had learnt that lesson and knew that she shouldn't get Vannah any angrier than she already was. The insults stung, but Gabby didn't let it show.

Ryan looked at Vannah "I wasn't fully lying. Gabby and Eloise found out about each other and almost killed me. After that is when I found you in the Room of Requirement. The next day I went to apolgize to Gabby and we made up."

"You weren't fully lying? Does that make it okay?! I can't believe I even trusted you! After the incident with Emilian I should've just stayed away like I had planned, but everyone convinced me that I needed you." Vannah backed away from him. She wasn't aware of the tears that were spilling down her face. She hadn't even completely listened to him.

Ryan looked at Vannah "Vannah why are you acting like this? The only thing I did was not tell you what they did to me when they found out. I think I have the right to keep that to myself. Other than that I told you the truth. You left me, avoided me. Why are you acting like this when you see me with someone else?"

Gabby stood shell shocked, so Vannah did have a vulnerable side and it came with tears which was even more astonishing. Then she had remembere what Ryan said about meeting her in the room of requirement. Gabby swung round to face Ryan, forgetting about Vannah at the moment. "Hang on, if you met in the Room, what happened?" Gabby questioned Ryan hoping that all he would say was nothing, but to her knowledge, however much Vannah accused him, Ryan had been a truthful guy. Gabby waited for an answer, her back to Vannah.
