It was dusk, and Gabby was wandering around by the lake, procrastinating about going back up to the Castle. She drew the cloak around her tighter, and shivered as a gust of wiind made her hair fly. Recently she had been having a recurring nightmare and so she now feared that as soon as her head hit the pillow and her mind was consumed bt drowsiness she would be haunted by that nightmare. Her spine tingled at the thought of it. Her mind started to play tricks on her, she thought someone was approaching her from behind. but when she ripped round, she couldn't see anyone. She turned back round and continued along her journey on the shore of the lake, consumed in thought.

Her body moved as her mind had ultimately shut down. She was in a deep trance, something that had been happening recently, her eyes distant face blank and pale. She kept walking out of the trees her feet still moving at a steady pace. She was unaware of the person in front of her, or the quiet crunching sounds her feet made.

Gabby whipped round again, sure she had heard something this time. Her instincts were right. Behind her, a girl was steadily approaching. She seemed not to see Gabby so gently Gabby called out, "Hello, who's there? My name's Gabby." She didn't want to startle the girl so close to the edge of the lake.

Her senses had sharpened making her snap up to the source of the disturbance, a menacing glare was on her features as a growl escaped her lips. She quickly returned to her blank look not wanting to be rude. She continued to walk to the girl wanting to see if she recognized her, however nothing about her features were foreign to her.
"Hello." she said trying to put a little bit of emotion in her monotone voice, it came out pretty well, a little bit of fake cheer to spice up her usual composer.
"My name is Lucretia, but I'm known as Storm." she said formally, the last thing she wanted was to warm up to anybody, she had gone through enough severed bonds that she didn't feel it was necessary to create more so that they could be destroyed.

"Hi, Storm, do you mind if I call you that? How are you, what are you doing out here?" Gabby tried to be friendly, she didn't want to go around making enemies. Yet she was a little wary, something about Storm seemed to be not quite right but Gabby ignored that feeling.

Vannah had been walking at quite a fast pace. She was just coming from the forest where she yet another unfortunate encounter with Emilian. She was muttering under her breath angrily. Vannah was unaware of people she was about to pass. She was distracted in her thoughts and trhe night sky was a bit dark. She was about continue with her quick walking and agry mutters when she accidentally bumped into someone. She took a few steps back and shook her head slightly as if to clear up all the bubbles in it. The girl she bumped into was a bit small, she noticed. Vannah couldn't make out who it was in the darkness.

Gabby who had been focusing on Storm did not realise that yet another girl had appeared from the darkness. Gabby stumbled as the older girl, she could tell that much, bumped into her. "Ow," Gabby muttered under her breath. "Um, it's so dark I can't see who you are" gabby said, in the general direction of hte older girl. Gabby waited for a reply hopeing it wasn't someone out for a fight. she could not deal with that right now.

Vannah wanted to continue on her way, but almost as a reflex she heard herself snapping, "Watch it." To the girl she'd never met. The girl sounded younger and was definately smaller. Vannah could almost see the outline of another girl nearby, but wasn't sure.
She stood a few steps away from the smaller girl and crossed her arms as if waiting for an apology even though the collision was no fault but her own.

She nodded her head "Of course you can." she said as kind as the words were the came out flat and monotone. She watched as someone else had joined them and recognized the girls voice instantly.
"Don't have to scare the girl Vannah." she said to her, once again in a monotone voice.

Gabby realised what Vannah was waiting for. "Oh, I am sorry" Gabby started in a sarcastic voice, "so terribly sorry that you bumped into me. I'm also sorry that your in such a bad mood that you won't be polite and apologise to me."
Gabby stopped, waiting for a reaction. She was pleased with how she came across, she was out to prove that she wasn't just a little girl.

Storm rolled her eyes the last thing she needed were two girls to fight, however she wouldn't mind a bit of entertainment, nothing better than two girl at each other throats.
"Play nice little ones." she muttered darkly under her breath.

"Oh, I don't have a problem, well I do which is why I'm out here in the first place." Gabby was filled with remorse.
She turned to Vannah, "I'm sorry Vannah, I've just been having trouble sleeping so I'm a little tense and my tempers frayed at the moment. I'm sorry about what I said to you, although it is true, it wasn't my fault. Nor yours either really, it's so dark now it's hard to see. For all i know, i could be talking to thin air." Gabby laughed.

Vannah didn't say any words of gratitude to the girl. In fact, she didn't say anything at all. The last thing she needed was an annoyance.
"Why, hello Storm. It's been a while." She said giving a small nod in Storm's direction. "I don't suppose you've seen Dru come by here recently?" She asked looking around to see if there were any other shadows lingering nearby.

She was glaring however none of the other girls would notice as it was dark. That was the last name she wanted to hear. “Don’t know, could careless.” She said coldly it was very bitter, but she didn’t care.

"Well that's unfortunate." Vannah said in a dull tone. She noted the coldness in her tone and suspected that it may have to do with the one thing they have in common. "From what I just heard, she's not exactly in the way anymore. Though I can't say my source is exactly reliable." She said to Storm ignoring the existance of the other one.
