Emilian shrugged, "I know what they all think of me." The conversation was going nowhere, he had hoped for some fun, but it seemed less likely by the minute. "You know, speaking of, I think I'm going to go and find Adara. Cheers." He grinned, tipped his head, and turned away without a backwards glance.

Gabby had been wandering around by the lake, daydreaming, when she had noticed the two guys down by the water's edge. Realising who it was, she kept away. Even though she had only been back for a few days she had heard rumours about them and did not want to get involved, especially as neither of them looked very happy at the moment. But as one of them walked off, she started to wander in Ryan's direction, wondering if he would be in a mood to talk.

Gabby, smiled back. "Hi, how are you? That guy didnt look too happy. I know he's in Gryffindor and by the way he's acting, I wish he wasn't." Gabby sat down, giving Ryan the option of sitting down and continuing to chat, or going back up to the castle after pleasantries had been exchanged.

Gabby was glad he sat down. Since returning she hadn't really talked with anyone and a lot of her old friends seemed to have disappeared.
"I'm great thanks. A little tired as I only just returned but it's definately good to be back."

Gabby smiled back. "I don't know either, I think my memory is just as bad as yours" she said laughing. "so, I'm Gabby, a gryffindor". She said politely as if meeting him for the first time. She felt herself relaxing and knew it was part of the magic of Hogwarts.

Ryan smiled "Its pretty hard to offend me, trust me. Im a 6th year. Im going to try and guess yours. Im usually pretty good." he said with a smile as he looked at her and tried to guess "I'd say 3rd or 4th year."

"Well done, I'm a 3rd year. Though I have a lot to catch up on after being away so I'm not sure if I'm as smart as a 3rd year should be at the moment. And I'm glad it's hard to offend you because I always say the wrong thing and end up with my foot in my mouth." Gabby blushed a little, she wasn't exactly extolling good qualities about herself. ~Oh well~ she thought, ~he'll either think I'm stupid or like my lack of charm and ease~. She wasn't normally like this, but Gabby didn't know the cause of it. She put it down to tiredness, hoping she was right.
