Dru clutched a folded and sealed letter in her hand as she looked up over the owls. The letter was to be sent to her father, who would, in turn, send it back to Dominic's family. She finally chose an owl and tied the letter to its leg, sending it out the window. As she watched the owl fly out over the treetops of the forest, leaning on the window ledge, memories flooded her. Her eyes started to burn, but remained dry, there was nothing left.

Storm ran up to the owlery a letter clutched in her hand. She entered the room not paying attention to the person inside. Her eagle owl flew down from it's perch and she stroked it's beak.
"To mother." she told it and watched as it took off. Her nows now adjusted to another figure in the room she frowned and froze, it was Dru, and she didn't feel like talking to her the guilt still overwhelmed her.
"Hey Dru." she said quietly.

"Hey," Dru said, just as quietly, not turning away from the window. It was, in all honesty, the first word she had spoken to anyone since she had lost her friend. Even without turning around she knew who was in there with her, she had spoken to Storm enough to recognize her voice.

She furrowed her brow, she sounded sad, maybe she found out about what happened between herself and Chase. Though Dru wasn't angry so she couldn't just jump to conclusions. She wasn't going to ask if Dru was alright because judging by her voice she wasn't.
"Whats wrong?" she asked her taking a step closer to Dru.

Dru bit her lip and continued staring out the window. "A good, old friend of mine died yesterday." It would be no use to keep it from anyone. "We had been friends since before I can remember." And he died because he did the right thing. But that thought didn't do anything for Dru other than add to her sadness. He had finally done what he had always wanted to do, and doing so had led to his ultimate end.

Storm felt bad she took a step towards her a hand on her shoulder, she banised thoughts of Chase at the moment, she grimaced a bit, a slight twinge of curiosity fluttered.
"Did he happen to be here in Hogwarts?" she asked her removing her hand from Dru's shoulder she wasn't sure how to express sympathy when it came to these things, however she kept her voice low, it was the best she could do, her brows set in a frown.

"Yeah, he wasn't very social, so you probably didn't know him." Dru turned and gave a weak smile. "He was happy the last little bit, I suppose that's really all that matters." Storm was the first person she had spoken to since, she hadn't even said a word to Rhyannon after the fact, she had just left.

She shrugged maybe she didn't, but she felt bad all the same.
"I'm sorry for the loss of..." she trailed of not sure what the person's name was, but it really didn't matter the name, the fact that Dru lost a friend was hard, she didn't know how it felt to lose someone close, so saying she understood would be a lie.

"Dominic," Dru supplied for her, "And thank you. It means a lot." Just having someone there was comforting to her. She took a deep breath, letting it out in a sigh. "I'm just glad that I was with him."

Her eyes hardened, but they relaxed, it could be the same one who came to the Three Broomsticks, but it was a common name.
"Dominic." she repeated as if the name was foreign to her, she didn't want to mention the state he was in, it would be a disservice to his memory. She wasn't sure what to say, it was none of her business on what to say as a short awkward silence passed.
"I'm sure his passing was not in vain." she said breaking the silence.

Dru shook her head, "No," she said, not noticing the brief darkening that came over Storm's features. "He died because he saved a lot of people in his family." She knew that it had been a constant source of worry and stress for him and that he didn't always deal with it in the best way. But he had died in peace that his cousins wouldn't have to deal with that horrible man any longer. Dru was silent for a few moments, remembering, before speaking, deciding on moving on, "So what have you been doing? It's been a while."

She shrugged happy that they had moved on from the death of her friend.
"Just been around, nothing exciting really, you?" she said this lightly, though behind her words there was a lie.

"Same, talked to that Emilian guy in the club the other day," she wrinkled her nose at the memory, the air he had around him was something Dru really didn't want to experience again.

"More than just talked." she said an amused look on her face, their relationship at first was mere fun, after that Storm had more fun with the fight they had that barely lasted anything.
"I suppose you don't like him, let me guess he asked you on a date or tried to force himself on you?" she was sure though if she did he would have said something about it to her.

"No, I kept the counter between us, I just know what all he's done," she said, "And the way he talked about Michael....." she trailed off, shivering slightly. He had implied things about Michael that she found very hard to believe, yet it was still enough to make her uncomfortable.
