Ryan led her to the lake and sat her down by the lake and sat down right beside her "What a night huh?"

Vannah nodded. "Mmm-hmm." She mumbled. She never realized how pretty the lake was, she usually overlooked it. Pretty wasn't her thing...but tonight it was nice.

Vannah side-glanced Ryan and noticed he was staring up at the sky. "What are you thinking?" She asked him softly.

Ryan looked over at Vannah and thought for a moment, he had told only a few people of all the things that had gone on with him. As he thought he noticed that he could fully see how pretty Vannah was now outside of the club. Ryan finally said "Thinking of how the past few weeks have went, and how tonight has been the best night in a long time"

Vannah's grin practically took over her face. "Really?" She asked. "That's good. It's good to have fun once in a while.." She said. She looked at the lake again and thought she could see the shadowy figure of the giant squid, but it left.

Vannah punched his arm light-lazy-joking-and-drunkenly. "You're just saying that." She said. She's heard many guys say it and she knew better than to believe any of them...but it was different the way Ryan said it.

"Ryan...that's not true." She said looking at him. "You've had girlfriends." She said, then she added. "You're not like the rest of them. You say things and you mean it. " SHe began. "You don't abandon people to run off with other girls." She said. "You're here...making sure I'm okay." Vannah continued. "And I like that." Vannah smiled softly.
