She settled nest to a tree next ot he lake relaxing and waiting for Dominic to show up.

Dominic followed slowly behind her, almost smiling at her enthusiasm. He stood watching the lake for a moment before sitting down beside of her and placing his box on the ground in front of him and opening it. "When I first came here from America this was one of my favorite places to be, other than the forbidden forest," he said, looking into his box.

"I could agree."she said sitting next to him."It helps me relax."She said gazing out on to te lake.She stood and mounted her broom,"Wish me luck I haven't ridden this thing in a half a year.She said smiling she flew off for a few seconds then floated back down as gracefully as you could imagine."I hope I might make the team next year."she said smiling then putting her broom next to her. and sat down once more.

Dominic watched her and when she came back he looked down and pulled out a silver strand and tied a knot near the middle and strung a small glass bead. "I see no reason you shouldn't make it. I've been chaser for our house since I got here," he said as he looked through drawers to find another piece to string on.

"A necklace," he said softly, "Making jewelry takes my mind off of things." And he had quite a bit he needed to take his mind off of. Up in the dormitory beside his bed in a drawer lay many necklaces and bracelets that he had made. He opened a drawer which held inch long crystals of varying colors. "What's your favorite?" he asked, looking up at her.

"Hmm,"She said thinking."I like that blue one."She said looking at a very lite blue on that catchs her eye very much."I hope so,I love Quittcah alot and very good at it."She said smiling.

"From what I saw," he said as he picked out the crystal she pointed out, "You should have no problem." He attached the crystal to a metal piece, strung it on with another bead identical to the one on the other side of the crystal, and tied another small knot to keep them from sliding around. He held the necklace in his large, dark hand and looked up at her and smiled, his first real smile in a long time, "You picked a good crystal."

She smiled back."Thanks,"She said."Blue has always been my favortie color."She said looking out at the lake."Any kind of blue really.For some reason when I am sad or unhappy it helps.It's like when I look at antything happy I get more depressed,But when I look at something sad it helps me get a little happier."She said looking back him."How long have you been making jewelery?'She asked.

Dominic nodded as he listened to her, it made sense, blue was a calming color, though he personally liked deep purple. He watched her before answering, "Forever it seems, something happened to me a while back and my mom showed me the secrets, been making things ever since," he said, realizing too late that he was being far more open with her than he normally was with people he didn't know. Dropping his head, he looked at the necklace and tied the ends off.

With those words Dominic closed over, knowing exactly what his family were doing across the sea. "Probably something better than mine." He flipped the necklace over a couple of times before holding it up, "Take it," he said, looking into her face through the silver loop of the necklace.

"Really?"She said."Thanks,"She smiled taking it.and she held it in her hands."I really don't make friends very well."She said sighing."I don't know why."She said thinking."I know what my parents are doing.Bickering thats what they are doing."she said her smile faded."Although I would be happy if they wern't."She said thinking."It would be a lot nicer at home."
