"Like i said, nightmares, I generally find that a walk by the lake soothes me, but tonight it did exactly the opposite, when i went back to the tower i fell asleep again but had the same nightmare, I had to get out and I couldn't go down to the lake." Gabby shrugged, to her it made sense, but anyone else might think she's mad.

"Okay." Jess said nodding. "Well then..." He said unsure of what to say to fill the silence. "...Er...thanks for saving me, I suppose." He said deep in the awkwardness. Jess stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"No problem," Gabby said, aware of how Jesse was feeling, she had always been pretty good at guessing people's emotions. "Although I don't really see it as saving you, just helping a friend." Gabby had meant it casually but then wondered if it was too big of an assumption. "Anyway" she said, "I might need your help one day if I run into those girls again, they really do hate me." Gabby said with a giggle. As long as no one was getting hurt, she did think the situation was quite amusing at times.
Gabby sighed, she was awake now and hungry. She thought about slipping into the kitchen and getting some food.

Gabby laughed, the knawing feeling in her stomach was growing stronger. "I'm sorry, but I'm starving, I was thinking of going to the kitchen to try and get some food," Gabby paused she wondered whether or not she should invite him. It seemed rude to just walk off but quite presumtious to ask him along. Gaby bit her lip and decided to just wait to see if Jesse implied he wanted to go too.

"Alright, then. I should probaby head back to the Common Room." Jess said. He wasn't very hungry and it seemed that the person he was waiting for wasn't going to show up. He didn't move, but waited for her to leave first.

"Ok," Gabby said, slightly disappointed, recently Jesse had been one of only a few which hadn't within five minutes of meeting her hurled either insults or spells at her. Gabby shrugged and walked off, wondering which was the quickest way to the kitchens from there, limping a little from the night's antics.

Jesss turned around and walked up to the Common Room entrance. He muttered the password and after a few annoying lectures from the portrait, he was allowed in. And with that he walked up to his room and crept passed his sleeping dormmates.
