Sophie wandered around town. Her shift ended early, which was good. Somehow working with humans all day wasn't as easy as she thought. She was pretty sure she had controlled her appetite during her training with the Count, but that assurance had left almost the moment she got to Forks.

She walked through the trees, weaving in and out of them, before she came to a small field with a lake. Sophie had heard of the lake before and had only begun to look for it when she heard some kids in the shop talking about it. She was only looking for something to feed on. The pathetic deer was not strong enough to last her an hour, let alone the three days she had gone starving.

She saw the back of a figure and a smile spread across her lips. Perfect, she thought. As she hid in the trees, she realized that he might not be so human and her mood deepened. She took a step forward and accidentally stepped on a twig. A loud snap escaped from it and she stopped dead in her tracks, not wanting to be caught spying.

It was a night that she had been preparing for all week in earnest. Freyja had even ditched class more then usual, not that she saw that as being a big deal. It was all worth it, it would have been worth it even if the ball from there on out had been simply horrendous. She was quite certain it would be a huge success but even if it wasn't her night was salvageable and if it was well it could only really get better if she added a little extra. She quickly pulled her mind from the future and into the present, if only even for a moment, to go to the table to grab the pin that out identify her to her date and visa versa. It had been a clever idea having matching pins for all the partners, after all it was so hard to direct people when no one was allowed to know who anyone else was. Of course there were always a few exceptions she thought with a smile, though they wouldn't have any affect on partners recognizing one another. She knew that at least one person there would know pretty much exactly what she looked like but that person happened to have her own mystery partner was wasn't likely to give way Freyja's lovely secret.

She moved to one of the tables near the dance floor not even bothering to look at the pin that rested in her hand before she stopped and put it on. Damn, they really needed mirrors, how was she supposed to know if it was perfect without a mirror. She grabbed her Badgley Mischka Beaded Clutch and pulled out a small mirror and checked finally getting a look at the design for the design for the first time as she mentally declared it to be perfect.

But then again everything about what she was wearing was perfect, from her hair put up in an elegant bun and the light blue and silver mask to the long silver dress and her silver Louboutin V-strap sandals. It would have seemed ironic if she had paused to think about it, but even her sandals cost more then probably the entire wardrobes of some of the students now attending her beloved school. Her jewelry was mostly silver and diamond except for a single bracelet that also had a scattering of delicate light blue Aquamarines. Everything had turned out perfect.

She scanned the room absentmindedly for her partner but if there was someone wearing a matching pin they were two far way to notice. Her mind started wondering and pretty soon she had almost zoned out completely, it was a bit of a struggle to remind herself that she had to find whoever it was that she was partnered with for the rest of the evening. If she didn't manage to find him at least the first half of her night was going to end up boring and she was not under any circumstances going to allow that to happen.

Instead she walked over to the door back to hallway and stood outside against the wall. If he wasn't in side the room yet she had a better chance of meeting up with him here then she did finding him amid the mass of students who were about to enter the ball room.
