Vannah walked into the Kitchen and ignored the tiny House Elves that quickly ran and/or hid from her. She took a seat at one of the empty stools at a counter and requested some pieces of fruit....also known as her comfort food. She liked the different but sweet tastes of each fruit and it was somewhat healthy...unlike other people's comfort foods. She was glad she finally had a chance to think, but she also felt like she needed to talk.
Vannah looked around at the House Elves, but they were all huddled in a corner, cowering under a table, or peeking their wide eyes out from their hiding spots. She wondered why she used to be so mean, and why she wasn't anymore. It felt weird...as if a part of her had gone bland.
Suddenly, something clicked. She didn't know what it was or how to orally express it, but it had made sense somehow. She only wished she knew what it was.

Dru wandered into the kitchen, expecting house elves to surround her, but was surprised to see them all hiding away. "What's wrong?" she asked softly before following their gaze and seeing the Slytherin girl from the Quidditch pitch. "Oh, I understand your pain," she said, glaring slightly at the girl but ignoring her and walking over to a group of the house elves and squatting down with them, speaking to them softly.

Vannah had picked up a Strawberry and was savoring it when she heard a soft whisper that was not her own. By some of the house elves she noticed a figure that stood out, it was the figure of a girl. Vannah smirked trying to surpress any rude comments she could make about the scene and crossed her arms questioningly.

"So, what'd you do to these poor house elves?" Dru asked, not looking up from the group she had been talking to.

Vannah recognized the voice as the girl from the Quidditch Pitch, but couldn't remember her name. She also knew the girl from somewhere else, but couldn't exactly put her finger on it. "Nothing." Vannah said simply going back to her tray of fruit. Nothing this time. She added silently in her head.

"Awfully bad nothing," Dru said, looking back over her shoulder. Her group of house elves was beginning to relax and venture out to the other groups to calm down their friends.

"I honestly have no clue what you mean." Vannah said lightly, innocently. Maybe it wasn't so honest after all....She picked out a piece of pineapple and savored the tangy sweetness of it.

Dru rolled her eyes and turned around, sitting with her back against a cupboard, "You're not fooling anyone."

Vannah looked at Dru as if she was psychotic. "All right little little miss goody two shoes, you caught me!" Vannah said dramatically and sarcastically. "I'm a horrible horrible person who also happens to be intimidated by some." Vannah threw her hands up as if she h ad been caught red-handed, but set them back down and laughed a little.

The outburst brought a smile to Dru's face and she almost laughed, "Trust me, I'm no goody two shoes. I mean, I was caught by a professor that one time in a very...ah...compromising position," she said, grinning.

Vannah smirked. "Aw, how cute." Vannah said in a baby voice, making fun of her. One time was certainly not that big of a deal to her.

"You really think those elementary insults will get to me?" Dru asked, grinning, "I've been through much worse."

Vannah shook her head. "I'm sorry to break it to you, but that wasn't an insult...." She said laughing. Her insults usually stung. "Good for you, as you may not know I don't care what you have or have not been through."

Dru rolled her eyes again. "So, how's Ryan doing?" she asked, looking back at her.

Vannah did not drop her glare, but answered the question happily. "He's fine...in fact he's more than fine." Vannah said smirking. "I can see why'd you ask, though." Vannah said nodding in a very "understanding" way.
