OK, here's the background. Kay is Harry Potter's twin, and they were split up after the..accident *sniff* Harry went to the Dursleys, and Kay went to the Mikalauskas. The Mikalauskas are nice. The Dursleys are mean. Kay was hiding in the blankets when..he came. She saw a flash, heard a scream, and that's all she remembers. They are meeting for the first time. They are in first year, and I changed the story a bit. No troll, no sorcers stone, etc.. I know it's long, but I want feedback, I want to know if it's good enough to put up on fanfic. READ PLEASE! THANKS!
Kay weakly said goodbye to her aunt Rose and Uncle Joe. They had cared for her all her life. They were very nice to her. She never wanted to leave them. Now she was off to a strange school. Yes, her aunt and uncle told her she was a witch. She never believed it. I mean really. Imagine your mom coming up to you going, 'You're a witch.' or 'You're a wizard.' I mean yeah, you'd wish you really were, but it's crazy!
When she got to the train station, she looked for platform 9 ¾. She saw some kids going through a wall. A plump lady was saying, ‘Go ahead’ to a boy with messy hair, and glasses. He had a scar. "Wonder where that came from." Kay asked herself. A strange feeling took over her body, like she met him somewhere. She soon shook that feeling off.
Kay went through the wall, and saw a big train. She hopped on, and went to find a seat. She opened a door. There was a girl with bushy brown hair, a boy with flaming red hair, and a long nose, and that boy with the scar again. "Sit." Said the girl with the bushy hair. "I'm Hermione. Hermione Granger. I'm muggle born." "I'm Kay. Kay Potter. I’m half-blood." Everyone gasped. They looked at the boy with the glasses. He purked up. "You can't be a Potter. I'm a Potter, and all my relatives are dead." "Harry, she might be you're sister. You're twin sister. You could've been seperated after the accident." "H-hi, brother." Kay said timidly. The red head said, "She's in a lot more danger than you, Ha-" "She's in no danger, Ron! You-Know-Who doesn't know about her." "He will soon." Ron said darkly. "I was hiding under blankets. Then there was a flash. That’s all I remember." The kids stared blankly at each other until the train came to a stop.
They got out of the train and followed a guy yelling, "First years here!" Kay got on the boat, and rowed with Harry, Hermione, and Ron until they got to the castle. The castle was beautiful. It was brightly decorated. Kay could tell she was going to like this school.
A hat sang a song, and then she was called up first. She sat down while the hat was placed on her head. The hat said, "Ahh, Harry Potter has a sister! You'd do great in Slytherin. But, GRYFFINDOR!" She sat at the Gryffindor table, and was later joined by Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
Then they were all led upstairs to their common room. Kay nearly got lost twice, but thanks to Hermione, she made her way safely. When they finally got into the Gryffindor common room, Kay followed Hermione to the girl’s dorm where she found her owl, Anay, and her suitcase full of stuff.
As she unpacked, she thought of writing a letter to her beloved aunt and uncle. She grabbed parchment and started to write. Dear Aunt Rose, Hi. Hogwarts is great! She crossed it out. Nothing seemed right.
She sat on her bed thinking about her new brother. She suddenly became angry. Why hadn't her aunt and uncle told her about him? She was so angry her face turned red. "They didn't know, Kay." Hermione said, reading her mind. Kay felt better. They knew as much as she did.
“Want to go out for a walk?” Hermione asked. “Yes.” She walked out of the common room with Hermione. Kay spotted a boy with a pale face and bluish eyes. "He's so cute!" She said in her head.
Again, Hermione read her mind. "Go talk to him. Make sure you don't say you're Harry's sister." She gave her a little push. Kay walked slowly to the boy. Hermione hid, while Kay held her breath. "Hi. I'm Kay." She said smiling. The boy loked at her and laughed. "Gryffindor! Ha! You gotta be kidding. How dare you be talking to me, a Slytherin. The best house!" Kay didn't blush or turn red. "How dare you be talking to me, a Gryffindor like that!" She smiled. "I like you, Kay. You can take a joke. I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy." Kay was stunned. Harry told her bad things about Draco on the way to the common room. He seemed nice. "You, Kay, will be hanging around with the Slytherins." Kay smiled a half-smile. "I'm Harry Potter's sister."
Hermione slapped her forhead. "A Potter, eh? Well, Potter, you're nothing like your brother. Come here, Kay." He motioned her to a bunch of people. As Kay walked closer, she learned they were all Slytherins.
"A Gryffindor, Draco?" A girl snickered. "Not just a Gryffindor, Pansy, she's Kay. My girlfriend." Kay almost bit her tongue. Pansy looked stunned. She fell backwards and a bunch of Slytherins caught her. Kay almost did too, but she stopped herself just in time. She pinched her arm to make sure it wasn't a dream. "Ow." It wasn't. "Gotta go, Kay, see you tomorrow."
Kay walked back to Hermione. She told her the whole story. Hermione listened, and was excited. Then she seemed sad. Kay knew why. “Hermione, I’ll ask Harry for you.” “Really, you’ll do that? For me?” Hermione seemed really happy. “Yeah. I will.”
Kay and Hermione ran back to the Gryffindor common room. “Remember, Hermione, don’t tell Harry or he’ll kill me.” Harry was already being a protective brother. “I won’t.”
“Harry, I have to talk to you. Just you.” Harry nodded. “Come on.” She said hastily. “What? Is everything OK?” “Yes, but Harry, will you be nice to Hermione? She really likes you. I mean a lot! Please!” Harry walked away. He walked to Hermione. “Harry, I really like you.” Hermione said. Harry nodded. “I like you too.” With that they walked out of the common room.
“Hey, what about me?” Ron asked. He looked at Kay. “Don’t look at me.” Kay said. She was proud because she made everyone happy. “I got a boyfriend. I mean-” Kay covered her mouth. “What? Who? Tell me!” “Never!” Kay ran out of the common room cursing herself.
Ron followed Kay around all week. “Ron, stop!” She had no chance to visit Draco. “Tell me first! NOW!” One day Fred and George came around singing, ‘Kay and Ron are dating’ Kay ran after them and yelled at them until they begged for mercy. They never sang it again.
Christmas time came around, and Ron was being as annoying as ever. Kay wrote a note home.
Dear Aunt Rose and Uncle Joe,
You will be pleased to know I am coming home for the holidays. I’m bringing you a surprise.
Lots of Love,
Kay
She gave Anay the letter. She had to go home. She missed her aunt and uncle and had to get away from Ron. She had a great surprise for her aunt and uncle. She was bringing Harry home.
“Come on! They’ll love you.” Kay said as they got onto the train. Harry was nervous. The train ride was long, and it seemed even longer because Harry was going, “What if they hate me? What if I do magic there?” Kay told him to be quiet and stop worrying. They were so much different from the Dursleys.
They got off the train, went through the wall, and were greeted by their aunt and uncle. “Aunt Rose, Uncle Joe, this is Harry. My brother who went to live with Aunt Petuina.” “Oh, yes. We thought he was well..dead. They refused to tell us. Were they nice, Harry?” Aunt Rose asked. He shook his head. “You are always welcome to live with us.” Uncle Joe grunted in his deep voice. “I will.” Harry replied. Kay smiled.
They all went back to the house. Aunt Rose and uncle Joe were very nice to him. Harry felt like he was at home. They liked him. A lot. He was always smiling every time Kay saw him. Soon it was time to go back to Hogwarts.
The train ride seemed much shorter than before. Kay promised to write. She was very excited about Harry moving in with them. He wrote to the Dursleys telling them, and they said yes they were glad to get rid of him. Harry and Kay were overjoyed.
Ron was still following Kay around. “Tell me!” “DRACO MALFOY!” She yelled. Then she ran out of Ron’s sight cursing herself once again. Ron’s jaw was hanging. “Harry! Harry!” Ron ran to Harry. He told Harry. Kay stayed away from the Gryffindors, and was almost always with the Slytherins.
“Malfoy!” Said a familiar voice. “Potter.” A cold voice said back. “Uh oh!” Kay hid behind all the Slytherins. “I refuse you to date my sister!” The Slytherins laughed. “I refuse you to refuse me to date her. She has rights too. Ask her once in a while.” Now there was a group of Slytherins, Gryffindors, some Ravenclaws, and some Hufflepuffs. A slow murmur broke out from the crowd. Kay made a run for it. Luckily no one saw her, and she escaped unharmed. She ran to the girl dormitory. She wanted to see Harry’s Quidditch practice, but he would kill her if he saw her.
She sat there on the bed until Hermione came upstairs. Tears were streaming down her face. “Kay, it’s OK. Well, about that matter. Something happened, and we’re all to stay inside our common rooms.” “What happened?” Kay asked. “Nothing.” Hermione lied. “Tell me.” “You-Know-Who um, is back. He’s in a new form now.” “As what?” “As who.” Hermione corrected her. “Okay, as who?” “H-harry.”
“HOW? BUT HE CAN’T BE! HE’S-! IT’S ALL MY FAULT!” “No, Kay, he was practicing Quidditch, and well, yeah. He fell off his broom, and started acting evil.” Kay was surprised. “We have to save him.” Hermione nodded and they went to find Ron.
He was in the hospital wing. He was in total shock. “He can’t help us. We have to do it on our own.” Kay said firmly. Hermione nodded.
The two girls went back to the Gryffindor common room. Hermione whispered something in Kay’s ear. Kay nodded and went up to the boy’s dormitory. She grabbed Harry’s invisibility cloak and put it on. She then ran down to Hermione. They both went under it.
They silently walked to the library. They snuck into the Restricted Section. Hermione grabbed a book that said, “Dark Magic”. Kay gasped. “The spells are too strong. Oh, wait, you’re Hermione. I forgot.” Kay joked.
Hermione read through the book. She pointed out a spell. “Bippity Bobbity Boo?” Kay asked. Hermione nodded. “It can kill a person if a very powerful witch performs it. So you must do it.” Kay nodded. “Hey!” She said. The two girls laughed.
“Remember, Kay, it’s not Harry, it’s him.” “Yes, I know.” Kay said as they were looking for Voldemort.
They found their way to where Voldemort was. He was destroying everything in his path. “Voldemort!” Kay called. Hermione flinched. Voldemort looked at Kay and started toward her. “So, you silly girl, you here to save your brother?” The voice was a hoarse whisper. Then he laughed an evil laugh. “Now!” Hermione yelled. Kay broke down. She couldn’t. She couldn’t kill her brother, just for Hogwarts. She didn’t move.
Hermione waited for Kay to do the spell. When nothing happened, she looked over at Kay, who was frozen in terror. Hermione didn’t waste any time. She whipped her wand out and yelled, “Bippity Bobbity Boo!” She wasn’t the only one yelling. Kay was now pointing her wand at Voldemort. He turned and realized a spell that two powerful witches had performed was going to hit him. Kay realized Harry would die along with Voldemort. She ran in front of him. She got hit with the spell. Harry also did too. He didn’t get hit with that much of the spell to get killed, but Voldemort did get killed. Or so they thought.
Kay and Harry were taken to the Hospital Wing, and were scolded for going out after dark. They awarded 100 points to Gryffindor, though. Kay was hurt more than Harry, but still recovered before the year was out. She had a broken rib and kept throwing up fire. She came out of the hospital wing on the last day of school.
The last day of school was great. Gryffindor won the House cup. Everyone was happy except for Slytherin. The Gryffindors cheered loudly. Even Ron was happy because he finally got a girlfriend! A shy Ravenclaw, Anna Malarone saw Ron in the hospital wing and asked if she could help him out. He said yes, and now he has a girlfriend.
Kay, Harry, Hermione, and Ron walked onto the train. The train ride was sad as everyone said goodbye. Kay hoped the next year would be as exciting as this year. As Kay and Harry climbed off the train, they both knew they were starting another exciting and challenging adventure. It was the adventure of family.
