Emilian chuckled, then raised his glass. "Zazdarovje," he said before taking another drink. "I've done the buy sh~y vodka thing before. Never again." That had been a dark time for him, and he was endlessly glad he'd mostly moved on from it. "I guess we didn't really need to go somewhere else to talk business, there wasn't a lot of business to talk about."

She raised her glass and repeated after him taking a drink while still looking at him. "I have quite the collection of vodka Armenian and Russian. I should send you some, it's good to find someone who appreciates a good drink," or she could drink with him, but she wasn't about to make that offer. Aline couldn't allow herself to seem like she was actively seeking him out; this was, supposedly, just a business meeting, but she liked how it was turning out. "I hear that students only drink vodka for the sake of getting drunk. No respect for the art that goes behind making vodka," she didn't know much about the process, but she didn't care so long as she got a quality drink.
"Perhaps not, but getting to know those you are going into business isn't such a bad thing is it?" she wasn't quite sure where he was going with that, but an innocent statement couldn't hurt.

Emilian shook his head. "And I wouldn't take your liquor." For a time he went silent, and although it was likely only a few seconds, it felt like much longer as he thought. It would be easy to label any meeting with her just business, but could he really keep that up? Why was he even considering it? Brandis. He could just blame it all on bloody Brandis, who'd made him a momentary hero and offered a gleaming silver spoon to fill his fantasies and desires. "Next time we discuss business, perhaps we'll have to do it over a tasting."

There was a brief moment when she thought she might have said something wrong, but with his last statement, she realized quite the opposite-- she was doing or saying something right. There was a moment where she wanted to be bold and suggest they could just leave and do that now, but she had to do things the right way. This wasn't some guy she just wanted to fool around with; this was more important than that, she would give him the power to decide. "Name a time and a place. I promise you won't be disappointed with my collection," when she came to the UK she didn't believe they would have vodka as good as that found back home, and so far she was right thankful for the large amount she brought back with her. Aline made note to apparate back home and get more; perhaps steal a few from her father's personal collection. He never really got upset with her in the past and for this situation, he would probably make suggestions.

Not safe. Very not safe. "If we plan to sample from our own collections, then your place or mine," Emilian said anyway. "During the day we'd be less likely to have too much." Not that day drinking was all that bad, but it always led to either a horrible comedown in the evening or simply never stopping until fallings asleep.

Aline didn't expect things to be going this well, "Not to be too forward, but I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron and honestly I like to not be there for as long as I can manage," and so far that meant wandering the streets of Diagon Alley. Aline wasn't against day drinking, if anything she shared a drink in the afternoon ever so often, but never has she been drunk during the day... well there were a couple of times, but she would rather not think about those days. "It's really up to you," and once again she gave him the power to decide.

"The Leaky Cauldron's owner has a hell of a reputation, and it isn't a good one," Emilian said. "With your kind of money, you could find somewhere better to rent." Although he had a brief thought of Mano's old flat at the original cafe, he assumed the man probably was either renting it out already or keeping it for himself. Not that the two were in any kind of communicative relationship for him to request a favor. And why was he even interested in asking a favor for a girl he'd known for perhaps an hour?
He shook off the thoughts and continued speaking. "My flat isn't anything overly special, but it's comfortable." Over the years it had changed from being a pale mirror of what he'd grown up with into something more modern and relaxed.

"I have heard rumors, but I'm not staying there for the owner; it's just temporary till I can find something more comfortable," and before she wasn't sure how long she was staying, but with how things were going maybe it was time she find a semi-permanent place to stay. "Comfortable is good," while Aline could have particular taste; she wasn't that picky as long as she had a comfortable place to relax.

"Try to find somewhere better. Even I wouldn't give him money," Emilian said. There, he had done his duty, right? It seemed like everyone knew the history of the man who owned that particular pub, and an increasingly small number agreed with him. "Three days' time? That will give me time enough to make sure the old man I hired can watch the shop."

Aline nodded her head, the problem was finding something. She supposed she'd find a place, but it wasn't going to be easy. Maybe she would ask Matthew for help, he was friendly enough and as a shopkeeper he probably knew more than the average passerby. "Three days it is," Aline was in no rush. This gave her enough time to try and get settled into this new country. Maybe she could do some of her own exploring and find a decent place to settle into.
