Over the years, Dru had considered getting rid of her club, but in reality she enjoyed heading back to it in the evenings for a few hours around people before retiring to her flat. It was a strange life, and not one she would have ever expected to lead, and it somehow fit. She had a few friends at the school and in the town, though no one she was very close to anymore, and again, somehow it fit. It was late in the evening when she headed back, knowing Robbie and the rest of her employees would have already opened shop for the night, and stars were just starting to twinkle in a rare cloudless sky the color of dust.
She carried little with her, just a bag against her hip holding a few books, a second small bag carrying a bit of shopping, and her coin purse in her pocket. It was old and tattered, but she loved it. Not only did it hold her spending money, it also held an old ring she hadn't worn since a terrifying boat party in what felt like a different life. It was comforting to have it with her, mostly just a habit she'd picked up, though she wasn't even sure if the little ring could summon help from the Order if it was ever needed. She never even thought about it anymore. Things had been so quiet for so long that it was difficult to imagine another battle with her at its center.

Caius had searched everywhere. Every lead him and his group followed only led to another dead end. He cursed the Hogwarts Headmaster positive it was his doing that protected Lucretia.
Hogsmead was the closest they could get to the school and yet it felt like a waste of time. "She's not here," he growled when two other figures apparated on either side of him. The three black shadowy figures stood on the roof of a club heavily cloaked in black hoods drawn to hide their face.
"And we can't get past Amias's protection. His daughter is safe with the Mezzanotte's," the taller ans bigger figure spoke he was the same one who had delivered the news.
As they were about to apparate away a figure appeared below and Caius raised an arm to signal the two to wait. His eyes narrowed on the brunette and while it took a while he was able to recognize her.
"Lucretia has history with that one," he only vaguely remembered the details but what he was sure of was it centered around Firebrand.
"Leverage," the second voice came from the shorter figure. It was more high pitched than the first, but cold and emotionless. He was known for saying very little; one word was enough to send chills down ones spine.
"Perhaps you're right Vadik," Caius smirked to himself and without another word followed the woman apparating from building to building the other two on seperate buildings.
When Caius gave the signal the three apparated surrounding her forming a triangle.
"Where's Lucretia?" Quentin's low voice ripped through the silent night.
"No lies," Vadik's voice followed it was a part of their game. Caius remained silent face hidden in the shadow of his hood.

Dru jumped and, though she would never have admitted it, squealed a little, at the sudden appearance of three men around her. Her eyes widened behind her glasses and she automatically slid her left hand into her pocket. The ring was within reach, but for all she knew she would get attacked before she could slide it against her skin and use it. "I don't know anyone named Lucretia," she claimed. It was at least a partial truth. She knew the girl as Storm, and she hadn't even heard of the girl in years. She also knew better than to use her right hand to reach for her wand.

Caius glared from beneath his hood, but still didn't say anything.
"Don't lie to me!" Quentin's voice was an angry low growl. He turned to his partner and nodded his head.
Vadik raised his wand and shot a spell in the woman's direction.
"Crucio," he said his voice sounded bored.
Caius still said nothing he just watched.

Dru's fingers had slipped into her money pouch by then, but her fingertip had barely slipped into the ring before the curse hit. She shrieked, dropping to the ground immediately. Only once had she ever been hit with this curse, and though at the time she had pretended not to be affected, it now felt as though she was getting hit with both spells at the same time. She couldn't think, couldn't see, couldn't breathe, and her screams died as she failed to draw breath through the pain.

It was ecstasy hearing her scream and his own fingers clenched around hia wand, but he'd have to control that urge.
"Enough Vadik," Caius had but the mnm didn't listen. His jaw clenched he hates disobedience.
"I said enough!"
Vadik stopped immediately his wand arm dropping to his side as he hissed in displeasure.
"You'll have your time to play. We need her." Caius turned his attention to the woman he was sure was called Druscilla. Quentin could be heard howling with laughter.
"Do you know who I am?" Caius approachrd Druscilla his hand on his wand. He stood in front of her pushing his hood away.
"I killed my wife. I will not hesitate to do worse to you."

Dru lay panting on the ground, her hands clutched on the ground near her stomach. However, she realized the ring was on one finger. Only minimal skin was touching it, however, and she focused more energy than she should have on working it down so that more of her finger touched it for a better connection with old comrades. "I have no idea who you are," she said, glaring up at the man. That, at least, was the truth. She coughed and spat blood on the ground; apparently the curse had caused her to tear something.

Caius was livid he crouched down his free hand tense. He reached for a handful of her hair and lifted her up so she was face to face with him.
"Stupid girl who else would be asking about his own daughter," it took everything in him not to just be done with her, but she could be valuable. The other two stood silent they knew when not to interfere.

Dru's left hand clinched as she was pulled up, and she stretched to relieve the pain. No one could hold an entire person up by one arm for very long, no matter how built they were. Maybe she should just relax, letting him take the weight to tire him out. But no, he was a wizard, it didn't matter if his muscles were tired. Her jaw clenched and she maneuvered herself into the most comfortable position possible. "I already said I don't know any Lucretia," she said through gritted teeth. The ring was on her finger, but even though the pain from him pulling her hair was distributed around most of her head, it was still enough to keep her from sending a coherent call of help. That didn't man she didn't try, though.

"Storm you daft woman! She goes by Storm," he never understood why his daughter went by that name, but it didnt matter. He let go of her hair and kept his wand on her.
"Do not test my patience," the other two watched silently as if keeping guard in case someone was peeking through their windows. So far everyone was either in bed or busy no one would come for her as far as they knew.

A crack sounded through the night as two figures apparated nearby, wands drawn. The Order of the Phoenix's rings were Grey's creation and were meant to last. He'd made a few more for newer members as well. He took aim at the crouching man as Damien shot a stunner toward those standing. It was in the flash of their spells that they recognized a well-known Death Eater. It was only a moment later that pieces of a recent murder fit together.

The two figures came from nowhere Caius snarled. His wand remaines pointes at Druscilla pressed against her throat. He didn't move but snarled in frustration.
Vadik was always on alert he spun on his heel robes snapping as he apparated a short distance away behind Caius and the woman. Quentin on the othet hand wasn't as smart and fell to thr ground with a crash. Vadik could have tried helping but risking his life was out of the question. He held his wand up in the direction of the order members, but he couldn't do anything with one of them pointing his wand at Caius.
"Perfect timing Greyson was it? You're famous, well infamous."
Caius had heard a lot about the man some if not most Death Eaters feared him, Caius never understood how one could fear a man.
"Hurt him she dies," it was the most Vadik would say. Caius said nothing but flashed them the smile that had won him so many favors in his life.

"They want Storm!" Dru said, despite the risk. She was infinitely grateful help had arrived, but knew that it was entirely possible she was too entangled in her captor to be rescued just then. The possibility of never being saved was one she refused to consider. Right now, it was important for Grey and the others to know what these men wanted. She stayed in place kneeling on the cobblestone sidewalk, her eyes wide as they focused on Grey.

"Cover me," Grey said, not so much as glancing away from Dru. With one Death Eater down and one disapparated, Damien had his wand aimed at Caius Seyrrou. Grey stepped back to send a message back to the castle. Merrick might not be here, but the man would be waiting for news.
Only moments later the relative quiet of the street was broken by the crack of apparition. They wouldn't underestimate Caius Seyrrou. "Drop her!" Grey shouted. A moment later, all hell broke loose.

And the fun was just beginning. Caius grabbed hold of Druscilla with his free arm while deflecting the blow with his wand. He couldn't, in this position, do anything other than send a stunning spell at Greyson. He disapparated with Druscilla a few feet away holding his wand at her back in front of him.
"You don't listen do you?"
Vadik shot a spell at the intruders he knew that in the heat of battle Caius forgot himself.
"We must leave boss," Vadik hissed. He was the voice of reason.
