Jory shrugged and looked away from Dare. "Just big changes, that's all. Living alone for the first time ever with a full time job. My best friends are still students, so it's a little weird. I guess it's all normal stuff." He shrugged again. He didn't want to talk to Dare about what was going on between him and Indigo, he didn't know Dare well, anyway.

Dare nodded in understanding. "Moving up can do that," he said. "Hey, if you want to get out for a while, me and some guys will be hitting a club this weekend, you ought to come along. Nothing fancy, just dancing, bullsh~ing and a couple drinks. We've all got work so you won't have to leave Astra alone all night or anything."

Jory thought for a moment, uncertain. He hadn't exactly had the best luck in clubs or with finding new friends. The last time he'd gone out with Dare's group he had ended up going to a guy's apartment with another guy whose name he couldn't quite remember. Oh, but what else did he really have to lose at this point? It wasn't like he hadn't lost his self-respect multiple times over the past years. "Yeah, sure," he said finally.

"Awesome," Dare said. "I can show you where a couple good dog parks are some time, we'll get you into stuff." There was really no way to fix missing friends, but if Jory kept busy, if he met some other people, it couldn't hurt. They'd so be going to a vanilla club, though. Somehow, dragging Jory into the BDSM scene sounded like a bad idea.
