"Wow," Brindle breathed. That was a dream come true, and she wished she could be so lucky. She wished she could get Aiden, who she'd never even talked to before today, to pimp her out and get her in, too. She wouldn't ask, though. She'd just silently hope that he got the idea all on his own and suggested it, so she could act surprised and flattered. He'd said she was good, right?
She gave a low growl at a sudden realization. "We need a coach so bad!" There wasn't even a chance of a talent scout miracle happening for her if they never had a game. Her brows drew together. "Maybe we could bribe one of the professors. Well, maybe I will," she corrected, glancing aside at Aiden. He didn't have a reason to, did he?

Aiden nodded. "Definitely. This school needs something, you know? I mean, there's nothing to do around here, surely they'd have people jumping at the chance to do something." Unlikely. If there were enough people interested in quidditch to keep it going, it probably wouldn't have died in the first place. "Maybe you should try sending out some owls to schools, see if there are any coaches that want a change of scenery."

Brindle looked at Aiden, nonplussed. She wouldn't even know where to start. She only knew the names of three magical schools total, and she knew better than to send an owl to SWIM. The coach had been good, but he'd never leave that place. "Can I do that?" she asked. Wasn't that something the school did? She couldn't imagine anyone would listen to her.

Aiden shrugged, "Why not? The school has owls, and the worst the coaches would do would be ignore you or say they can't help. They're all gonna have connections, you might get lucky, you know?" It couldn't hurt to send out some letters, and she would feel like she had done something to try to fix the situation. "I'd say it's worth a shot."

"How?" she asked. "I mean, most wizarding schools are hidden. I don't even know how to find out what schools there are." She wasn't stupid by any means, but she wasn't a know-it-all either. Would Silver know stuff like that? She didn't have a clue.

"Books? You don't have to know where it is exactly, I mean the owl would be able to find it," Aiden said. "Could maybe go talk to Kane or something to see if you could get names." Surely some professor at the school would be aware of other schools' professors, or at least know where the information could be found.

Brindle was feeling more lost by the second. She didn't know how to find out something like that. What kind of book would have lists of hidden schools? Why would the school counselor know how to hire a Quidditch coach? And if the professors knew how to get other professors, why would they let students meddle? It didn't make any sense to her.

"I'll help you out if you want," Aiden offered. He didn't have a reason to be invested in quidditch at the school anymore, but he supposed he had some extra time. "Or hell, you could start up a group, couldn't you? Put up some things on the bulletin boards, you know."
