The chaos of the holidays always put Jewels at edge, but this year it was even more so. Unknowingly, the past term at school Jewels had isolated herself. She hadn't meant to, time just simply got away. All those weekends spending time alone in the library or blowing off invitations to hang out had totaled up to almost an entire term of being an extreme introvert. And now, the sudden peak in social activity was too much to handle.
Days like this Jewels was glad she was finally able to disapparate legally. This winter break had proved to her that it was time to get back in the swing of things. She was annoyed that she let herself get this far gone, acting more Ravenclaw then the true Gryffindor that she was. In any event, it was time to be social again!
Diagon Alley seemed the place to go. In addition to having a few stores worth getting gifts from (she did need a last minute gift for an aunt) there were always a few familiar faces out and about.
The sudden chilling breeze made Jewels hug her coat tighter to her body. She knew she ought to go inside, but the urge to wander down the street kept her in the cold. It had certainly been a while since her last visit and the store fronts were beautifully designed to fit the holiday spirits. So, she braved through the winter and continued looking around.
