Annabelle shook her head. "I'm good, thanks. I have a study period until lunch." Anna stood up and resettled her bag over her shoulder, grabbing the strap with both hands. She turned to go, then stopped and turned back. "Dare? I um, wanted to say thanks. I'm sure it was hard to ask me to talk, you know, because of everything. But I'm, well, I'm glad we cleared the air. This really is my favorite subject, and I really was worried about having you teaching it to me. So um, yeah. Thanks."

Dare gave Anna a bit of a smile and shook his head. "It's fine," he said. "It's my favorite subject too, and I'm still figuring this whole thing out. Gryffindor courage though, you know?" He paused, then stood up to head back toward his desk and the box settled on top of it. "Any time you want to talk, I'll be around."

"You're a good teacher, I'm sure the year will turn out great." Annabelle thanked him again before heading for her common room. She was relieved that at least half of her professor problems had been dealt with. It was the much smaller, easier half, but it was an accomplishment. She wondered briefly what it would be like next class, calling him professor again.
