"Nothing but fond memories and a sense of pride in a job well done," Eros corrected. "Would I be amiss in presuming that your own list of challenges is rather shorter than you might wish? It is a common problem amongst many of those in Haute Society." Especially amongst the daughters, he would think. They were kept upon such short tethers that it was no wonder so many of them were lured into dark rooms by the likes of Mano and Emilian.

“Well then, consider yourself fortunate. I am left with nothing but an empty feeling.” Mostly because her challenges were exactly challenges. What she had to do was make sure she outwardly seemed like one of the other girls and by the end of the day, when she would succeed…. She felt nothing. “Then again, I suppose most women are too daft to talk about other more satisfying things.” She blamed no one but women. They were given a role and they eagerly went with it; which was fine. But what happened to at least thinking outside the box it didn’t even have to be around men, but expression amongst themselves would go unnoticed and their standings in society wouldn’t be compromised. “I suppose you make the most of what you get.” Which wasn’t much, but Reina couldn’t do anything about it so complained very little if at all.
Reina faintly wondered if Eros had any challenges with women. She wouldn’t ask, but it did raise many questions. Reina wondered if perhaps Katia was a challenge, why else would he be friends with her. Women were only friends with men for limited reasons. Usually it meant potential suitor, family friend or there was some form of interest in the other that could be romantic… or platonic. She didn’t speak, but was assessing with her eyes. Yes, Katia could be interested in Eros in that way, he was a good-looking man. Reina looked away, a hint of a grin, but it was different than the one before.

Eros held back his own smile, but his eyes glittered with recognition of the way Reina had looked at him. She was an attractive woman, and striking with her dark hair and pale skin. "Indeed, you do," he said. He was fortunate in many respects, and he was quite aware of it, as he was that not all had the freedom which he did. His freedom came at a price, of course, but such things weren't spoken of in polite company.
"I daresay you haven't found the right challenge yet," he suggested. "If I might be so bold, how does a lady such as yourself spend her free time? Certainly not in stitching and watercolors, though both are fine pursuits."

Reina was in no hurry to respond, she allowed herself a moment or two, as if thinking it through. In reality, she knew exactly what to say, but the momentary pause gave her an extra moment to look at him in silence.
"Would you believe me if I told you that I sneak away from balls just to read." sometimes she would get desperate for the quiet that she's hide in the cellar with nothing but her wand providing light. There was a small 'hmm' this time actually deep in thought. "I have this little fascination, but it's silly." she looked down to her lap before making up her mind that she would tell him.
"I've always wanted to travel, to see the places of old. The lands of ancient civilizations," she paused shaking her head. "But having to deal with my fathers business has limited my travel. I can only see these places through pictures and read the experience in books." it wasn't the same and there was a look in her eyes that showed she was disappointed that she hadn't seen these places. But she tried to mask this by smiling. "But it's quite alright. Perhaps, I am not meant to go to Egypt, Greece, or Rome." she had lived in Spain, but had only seen it and now England. Never had she been able to go beyond that. Yes, she was more free than most girls, but leaving to countries just for sight-seeing was out of the question.

Eros arched one lazy eyebrow and inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment of Reina's wishes. "Perhaps your husband will enjoy travel as well. Surely you are not in want of satisfactory suitors." He had put aside their previous meeting entirely by this time. Katia was prone to histrionics and had likely exaggerated her friend's faults. None of them had been at their best that day, and it was a shame that it had been so. Perhaps he would have his solicitor look up a few details for his curiosity.

As soon as he said the word 'husband' she looked down to her hand. No ring was present and somehow, it felt good. For her a ring was not just a symbol of marriage, but to her the innocent ring around a finger meant being bound to another. A leash, but a leash where it was attached to the collar of another. If she were to pull, he would follow and vice versa. She would only be able to go so far.
"Suitors. All I have ever came across were hungry eyes and their only interest was in their own libido." her voice was low enough for only him to hear, but she made sure to make her voice lower in a non obvious way. Professors around were to busy with their own meals to pay attention to herself and Eros. "However, it is impossible to avoid men for long. I suppose I'll eventually find someone who is able to think with his mind even if he doesn't share the same beliefs." she didn't think she'd find someone who would like to travel with her. They'd want to keep her at home taking care of heirs and being a good housewife. "Excuse me, I shouldn't be speaking of such things in such a way. Forgive me." she shouldn't said it, slight bitterness in her tone, but she masked her features with a polite smile. "And yourself, any arrangements?" she hoped she wasn't being too bold, but at this point anything was game and he somewhat brought it up, but for good measure. "If it's not too bold to ask."

"Oh, heavens no," Eros said, the words at odds with his unruffled demeanor. "And you are quite excused, Professor Milán. I find our conversation most diverting." She was certainly more reserved than she had been upon last meeting, and though this side of her was undoubtedly for show, he was entertained.
"I hesitate to speak so frankly of my own sex, but there are indeed some few of us for whom physical pleasures take second place to pursuits of the mind. It would be dishonest to claim that such pleasures do not have their place, as I find them most diverting as well, but... Well, Miss Milán, some things cannot truly be understood without the proper experience."
He lowered his voice and leaned ever slightly closer as he looked at her. "I myself have slipped from a ballroom or two to scan the shelves of an acquaintance's library."

As he lowered his voice, Reina chuckled just a bit and her eyes shone. Reina was certainly childish, this was an occasion where she had to hide that, but his words was stirring up that part of her. “And I would be naïve to assume that men didn’t think about physical pleasure, but it would be nice to know one who could think of other things.” like you she added mentally, well he seemed like the type who wasn’t one dimensional. Reina barely knew Eros, but he presented a conversation she wouldn’t be able to have with anyone except Katia, and even then it was not as, amusing, as with someone of the opposite gender.
Proper experience. When It came to sex, Reina was not experienced. Like the good daughter she was, she was saving herself for her husband; her mother said it was the right thing to do. Reina could have easily done anything she wanted, but she personally didn’t think much about sex. She heard of it’s many wonders from people she knew, but apparently the experience was much better than hearing about it. “I will admit, I cannot speak about such a matter for my lack of experience,” She couldn’t believe she admitted it, but at this point Reina didn’t care, she was humoring him in a way. “But surely a relationship between a man and women can survive without such physical interactions.” She didn’t say the word because she didn’t want to draw much attention to their conversation. At this point, Reina had completely forgotten about what she was supposed to be doing.

Eros's brows rose in unison, a subtle motion which only one watching closely would notice. She was surprising him, and he was rarely so stimulated since he had come to Hogwarts. But surely a relationship between a man and women can survive without such physical interactions. Wasn't that a pretty little set-down? If he had dismissed her lack of experience as unimportant to any hypothetical pursuit, that might almost have put him in his place.
"I quite agree, Miss Milán," he said, though whether he believed the words was his own business. "But such physical interactions, even incomplete, can make survival more interesting. At least, when one finds a compatible partner.
"Ah, but surely you have some experience," he suggested. "A casual touch that makes your body shiver, or a meeting of eyes that warms the blood. A woman of your intelligence can surely imagine, if such fleeting moments bring such a flush to your skin, what more could there be?"

Reina could feel a blush on the back of her neck, but it did not go any farther and her messy ponytail hid it well. Reina looked at her hands, folded in her lap now. It had been a few years, but Reina would never forget.
She would dance with men at balls, and only one man had grabbed her attention. He was the rare few she would have considered, but she was only 17 then and he was a year away from his 30's. The only reason she danced with him was because at that time, he was her fathers business partner and her parents saw no harm in her dancing with a man. Reina could still remember the feeling of being in his arms. His finger caressing her exposed shoulder. Her parents were to busy paying attention to guests to notice, but it had been so settle, they wouldn't have noticed anyways.
Had it stopped there, it may have been quite alright. Reina remembered following him, slipping away from the party his warm hand still wrapped around her. They slipped into the guest bedroom, she could remember the gentle press of his lips against her and just like that he left. Reina never saw him again. The next week her father confirmed that he had disappeared. Máximo Léon.
Reina raised a hand to her lips, the feel of his lips against her. She shut her eyes, clinging to that memory. It was enough. She didn't feel like she needed to have sex for that feeling, his lips had been enough and she wanted to find that so badly. She doubted she ever would. "I was...." she started, she would not reveal that. "I am," she corrected. "...inexperienced." she finished, her face was wiped clean, but the memory was fresh in her mind and the look in her eyes spoke volumes.

The look on her face told Eros that she was ripe for seduction. If they had been alone, he would have pushed farther, but he was well in mind of the fact that they were not. There were professors to both sides and, not least of all, a room full of students in various states of attentiveness. No, now was not the time no matter how much he might wish to proceed.
"Perhaps our conversation is suited to more... private surrounds," he suggested. "I had intended to take a stroll after breakfast. Would you care to join me?"

Reina did not see any harm in his offer and somehow he couldn't refuse him. There was that stupid business deal, but she already knew exactly what to tell her father. In her mind, this was an offer that would be much better than that of anything offered by her fathers potential business partner. "I would be delighted in joining you...." she did realize that their conversation of 'mating' was ill suited for the younger students that were around. Some wouldn't approach the table, but there were issues such as professors that liked to eavesdrop on student. The whole idea of a stroll with Eros was not only interesting, but it was a chance to get to know him better. It seemed like whatever encounter they had before was forgotten. A fresh start.
