Jory wasn't the best at transfiguration, so there wasn't much surprise when his apple only gained slightly bumpy skin on his first go. Really, though, he couldn't exactly concentrate when he considered just who was in his class. Dare was the teacher, and there was Brindle and, of all people, there was Robbie, who was just as good-looking as he remembered, hitting on Brindle. This is gonna be a long year, he thought as he gave his apprange another try.

Dimitra slowly walked into class, It was a class she was more familar with and knew she was strong in. She avoided all eye contact now as she made her way quickly to the seats in the back. Dimitra only listened very little at the begining before her very much young professor got to point of his lesson. The changing of fruits was something Dimitra knew well after being thrown out of the orphange, Dimitra only did so when she was pregnant and afterwards when she could no longer stand being hungry.
Dimitra averted her gaze from the professor as he placed an orange on her desk, she didn't like oranges tried one before the taste was unbearable. Dimitra peered slightly at the work of the others they were all choosing red but she preferred a green one. With her wand in her right hand and her focus gathered Dimitra closed her eyes as she reWizarded the taste, smell and color of the apple she was transfiguring. Though her eyes were closed it did not hinder her concentration as she drew her wand along its bumpy rind. It smoothed, lightened, and was now a green apple. Dimitra was confident and since she had completed her assignment she was afforded the liberty of eyeing her professor more closely. He was ....very different in comparison to the others but how else different Dimitra did not know. She eyed the others around her brief when she was sure they weren't looking to get a general idea of these people that stared at her so. It was as if she were in a different world.

Tori walked into to Transfiguration and saw the fruit on the table and her stomach rumbled in hunger but she ignored it.
"Today we're making apples and oranges." I watched as he demonstrated, being a newbie this is going to be difficult for me. "It's trickier than it looks," Oh great, I thought. I looked down at the fruit and sighed heavily knowing that this would be difficult for me. "We'll be cutting them open to see how you did."
Well let's prey that I get it right on my first time. I thought again. I sighed again and drifted all of my thoughts away from everything and concentrated on nothing but the apple. I waved my wand and watched it change color to a perfect bright orange. However, it still had the apples stem at the top so I concentrated a bit harder and did the wand movement again this time it turned into an orange completely but the bumps were immense! I gasped and sighed and tried the wand movement another time but to no avail. I decided that it'd be best to ask for help.
"Excuse me, Professor but could you please help me I'm having a bit of trouble with the apple/orange." I asked him.

Dare nodded and glanced at the fruit the girl was working on. He grabbed a spare orange out of the box and crossed toward one of the few students he didn't already know. He had to stoop a bit, but he could see what the issue was. "Having trouble with texture?" he asked. He offered her the orange. "You can't always have a reference, but sometimes it helps to look at the real thing."

Tori blushes as she handed he handed her the fruit and she nodded at him. She cleared her thoughts once again and concentrated on the fruit and she watched it changed all the way this time into an orange.
She smiled at herself and then glanced up at the teacher and beamed at him.
"Thank you Professor." she blushed again and sat down.

Dare's lips curved reflexively into a slightly crooked smile. "No problem," he said softly. "Good job." He returned to his desk to check the roll sheet and make sure he had her name right, then settled into leaning lightly back against it, his eyes scanning the rows of students.
