To Fund Research at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries1 Sickle It was for a good cause. That's what Dare had told Michael before he'd left. How he'd been voted into manning the kissing booth was beyond him, but he had been and so here he was, sitting on a high stool behind a counter, the banner waving high. Kissing Booth. He had a bottle of water and some chap stick just in case, but his mind was more on what the hell he was thinking agreeing to this than on that cause he'd used as an argument. Maybe Michael would come by and drop a few Galleons, and they could just make out for a while.

Jory wasn't so sure about being the first one up. He wasn't sure about doing this anyway but it was Dare and only one Sickle, and it was for a good cause and he could so convince Jamie it was nothing even if he did find out. He came up to the booth, unsure if he felt more nervous or excited as he laid down the Sickle on the booth. "Hey," he said, unsure how it worked.

Dare looked up from the bowl of mints he'd been eying, and blinked with surprise. "Jory, right?" he asked. He wasn't entirely sure how to do this either, but it didn't feel like he should just take the money, pucker up and say next. He stood up and rested his palms against the counter to lean slightly over it. "So, like... it's a good cause," he said. His lips spread into a broad grin and he chuckled at himself. "It's a little weird, right?" he asked, eyes laughing.

Jory laughed lightly, "Yeah, just a little." Dare was with Michael, it was so weird to think that he was going to get to kiss Dare. He was even a professor now! "I guess....we just...do it?" he asked, still unsure. His eyes gave away his excitement, excitement that was quickly being overtaken by nerves.

Dare couldn't help smiling at the look on Jory's face. He leaned a bit further and brought one hand up, settling it lightly beneath Jory's chin. "I guess we just do it," he agreed. He tossed his head, sending his fringe back, then closed his eyes and brought his lips to Jory's.

Only then did Jory remember Dare's lip ring, he had never kissed anyone with a lip piercing before. He realized it wasn't supposed to be much of a kiss, but he wasn't quite willing to pull away. He decided it would be just fine to let Dare decide when it was over and how much was allowed. This was something he wanted to enjoy as long as Dare would allow.

Dare wasn't used to hesitation, and so it was natural to press a bit firmer, to fit their lips comfortably together. It was a Sickle, not a couple knuts, and it seemed like it should be a proper kiss, if an innocent one. When he pulled back, his gaze searched Jory's face, wordless questions floating in his mind. Was it going to be like this every time? He dropped his hand from Jory's chin, but for now words failed him.

Jory's cheeks heated when he felt Dare's eyes on him before he had even opened his own. When he did, he looked at Dare and was unable to keep himself from grinning. Was he supposed to say something? Probably, but his teeth were working on his bottom lip and soon he was turning to dart off before he could do anything to make it awkward.

Dare watched Jory go with more than a little interest, and a crooked half-smile on his lips. If he could get a reaction like that, then apparently he still had it. He grinned to himself and grabbed up his water bottle for a drink, then slid the Sickle into a jar. He had a feeling this was going to be an interesting day.

Brindle had thought her chance was up when Dare got married. Partnershipped, she corrected herself, though she wasn't even sure that was a real word. Her hand tightened around the Sickle she had ready, and she walked up to the booth grinning, her vivid blue eyes shining with excitement. She dropped her coin on the counter and reminded herself to breathe. But she'd had a crush on him for so long! What was there not to love about her older brother's friend?
"Markise isn't here, so I want my money's worth," she teased. Oh, she'd thought about this so many times!

"Brin," Dare said, surprised to see her at all, let alone in line for a kiss. "Your money's worth?," he repeated. His lips spread into a grin. Markise's kid sister was pure energy and had a great sense of humor, but he'd always seen her as Markise's kid sister. "You know it's for charity, right?" He took a long drink of water as he looked at her. He knew she'd had a thing for him a couple years ago when they'd gone to the winter dance together, but it had been as friends.

Brindle was nearly bouncing on her feet. She hadn't had a kiss since Ryan, and that had been her first. She was really looking forward to this. "I know it's for charity," she said, "but I had to kill a few people for that Sickle." Or she'd saved it, but that wasn't nearly as interesting a story. She leaned slightly over the counter and closed her eyes, then tipped her chin up expectantly.

Dare chuckled as he set aside his water. "All right, all right," he said. His right hand pressed down on the counter for balance as he leaned forward, the other hand resting gently beneath her chin. He pressed his lips to hers for a chaste kiss, then moved to straighten.

Somehow she'd known he would do that. Her heart was fluttering, but still she had enough presence of mind to throw her arms around the back of his neck. She'd hugged him a thousand times, roughhoused with him, teased him, and it was nothing to hug him once more. She kissed him this time, pulling him so close that their upper bodies met over the counter. This was a little dream of hers, and she could have a dry kiss on the cheek any day.

Dare's hands wrapped reflexively around Brindle's waist, catching her at her enthusiastic hug. It wasn't until her chest pressed to his and her soft lips begged another try that it clicked in his mind that Brindle had grown up. He was too surprised to push her away, or even to worry what her brother might say, and so this time she got her kiss. It was a firm press of lips and a light brush as he let go, but enough to get his heart beating. He was a little breathless and more than a little stunned.
