"You never know if they're worth it till later. What's life for if you can't experiment. Try things. It might suck. But if you don't try it. You'll always wonder." Ocean ran a hand through his hair. "Besides. You can't look as good as us. And not have drama follow you." A small chuckled rolled past Ocean's lips.

Markise grinned, setting his entire face glowing with the tease. "Tell me about it," he said, rolling his eyes. God, this was fun! He'd missed it so much! He gave an overblown sigh as his eyes met Ocean's again. "I've tried it, and it was great, but I can't leave my boyfriend alone in a club because the sh~ will totally hit the fan and then we'd be screwed." He paused, then smirked. "And not in the good way."

"Well he won't be alone. There will be you. Me. Maybe Dare." He would have to figure out who Dare was. "Jory. It'll be a party. No one will be alone." Not that it mattered who you brought. Once you got on the dance floor. The world melted away. "Besides. The only time you should be alone is when you die. God didn't make people for us to hide."

"I don't wanna die alone," Markise said, slipping into his New York accent the more excited he got. "I wanna go out in some massive blaze of glory and leave everyone crying." He didn't comment on the God part. He'd learned long ago that there was no place for people like him with God and he'd come to terms with it. There was freedom in knowing that since he didn't intend to change he didn't need to worry about sinning up one wall and down the other.

Ocean shrugged. "I told my parents. If I die young. They can have their church service. I'd appreciate that. Send my soul to God. Then. Then everyone else should party. Music and dancers. Celebrate what there is in life. And that's life. However dirty, earthy, and base it gets. God gave us the life. And he gave us the desire to be close to people." Ocean shrugged again. A sheepish grin on his face. "They said no group orgies at my funeral. I'm still hoping." He chuckled, because even if he wanted dancing and life to be celebrated. The lack of an orgy would be okay with him.

Markise laughed and reached out, touching Ocean lightly on the side of his shoulder without a thought. It was just a casual touch and he hardly noticed it beyond the warmth that moved through him as he shifted that much closer. "That would be a blaze of glory," he teased. "You aren't really all into God and everything, are you? I mean life, yeah, I celebrate life every chance I get." Ocean was built for someone so thin. It had to be the dancing. He tried not to look too long as his hand retreated toward the safety of his hair.

The thrill that went through Ocean at that touch shocked him. The guy was attractive. Ocean couldn't say he discriminated. The him having a boyfriend didn't bother him. Who knew. It might not last. They were young. Ocean was used to cross flirtation. He flirted with his friends. They flirted back. He'd kissed a couple of them. What was it with all the cute boys on this campus?
"Yeah. I do the God thing. It was kind of what got me through the being different thing. Knowing. God knew he was making me. Just the way I am. That he loves me. That I'm allowed to love myself." He chuckled. "My mom wishes that I hadn't picked up on that. She says I might love myself a bit to much. But a healthy self loves means I get to share it." He shrugged. People didn't ask that often. But he loved God. Loved being a Christian.

"If you haven't gone blind you haven't overdone the self-love," Markise quipped. His lips curved into a softly smiling pout. "I've never known anyone who overdid it." All innuendo aside he could understand loving yourself. At times like this he adored himself, but he still didn't get the whole God thing. Of course, neither of his parents were really religious. Most of what he knew he'd learned from listening to people talk about it at school and that rarely happened.

"Flattery will get you. Somewhere." Ocean grinned, showing bright white teeth. "I was trying to be modest." Ocean crossed his fingers over his chest. "Promise it doesn't happen very often." Almost never. He knew he was good at what he did. Knew where his body was honed and perfected. "It's just that with an equal in the room. I didn't want to point out my virtues. Not when I have yours. Like how amazingly natural your hair looks."

Markise laughed, his eyes glittering at Ocean. "Yeah, natural like a Death Eater in Muggle Studies," he said, then smiled coyly. "I promise I won't be modest." He knew what Ocean meant, but it was all part of the tease. He flicked a glance out the window, then turned back, grinning conspiratorially. "Don't tell anyone you saw me do this," he said softly. It was a trick he rarely got to show off outside his actual morning routine, but he loved doing it and he loved the reactions he got. Besides, Ocean knew he was taken. It was all in good fun.
He straightened his already good posture and centered himself, then brought one leg up, straightening it so that his foot was far above the level of his head. Balance and flexibility were two of his strengths, and he made it look effortless. "My boyfriend got pissed when I did this at a club." On a table, he neglected to add. He lowered his foot back to the floor.

Ocean walked with only barely concealed attention. The move Markise showed him took skill. “Are you sure you aren’t a danseur?” While he doubted Markise would mind ballerina. Ocean hated the word. It brought to mind pink tutus. Both things he hated. “Talents like that shouldn’t be hidden.” If he could do it, why would someone stop him. That seemed like a waste to him.
