"Oh," Dare said with a blink. How did they get the music in? "I'm not really sure," he admitted. "I had a couple friends with iPods and I'd send it home with one of them to put songs in. I think it had something to do with computers and plugs. Like, the computer got music the way a Wireless does, and they'd plug the iPod in with wires or something." There were some things they just didn't show in the movies, and how music got into an iPod was one of them.

"Oh." Computers were complex, after Hogwarts kinds of things. "Well, anything you can tell me about Muggle life would be wonderful." After all, what did she know, she was a pureblood back over seven hundred years. "I feel at a disadvantage for this bet, with all my pureblood history." She wrinkled her nose, "I wish at least one person in my family had thought to marrying out of the gene pool then I might win this bet." Her eyes danced, teasing not Dare but her own family of purebloods. Was it so wrong to bring new life and perspective every once and a while?

There wasn't much to say to an assertion like that, so Dare just smiled and shook his head. "Don't worry about it," he said, "and don't tell anyone I'm helping you." He had a strong flashback to Madison and wished he'd thought to say that to her. "Silver finds out and who knows what kind of sh~ would hit the fan." He didn't want a repeat of Madison, and the fact that this wasn't anything as serious as him playing the guitar didn't mean much. He and Silver weren't talking, and he didn't know how well his brother would take him meddling.

Silver might get mad about this, her head tilted as she drew her knees up again, "do you really think he'll get mad about you helping me? I don't want to make him upset...not after," she flushed again, and turned away from Dare, hoping he wouldn't catch the flush of her cheeks at that, hoping he might leave things alone. If Silver would get upset about Dare helping her win, would he get upset if she told his brother, wouldn't he tell his brother on his own?

Dare's mind hovered on that glimpse of Willow's face, on her blush, as he wondered what the rest of that sentence was. Not after what? He decided that he probably didn't want to know. "I don't know," he said with a light shrug. Would Silver get mad? "Probably not, but I'm no legilimens."

She toed the ground near the tree and contemplated what to do, not that she'd mind handing a card over, she wouldn't, but she wanted that poem. "Alright, I won't tell him. We could start this week, since he's going to be gone, he won't suspect anything." Her eyes were dancing again, determined that it was going to be hers. "I feel a little bit guilty getting help, but I want to win."

"Don't feel guilty, he probably won't even notice," Dare said. His brother was pretty damned oblivious and though there was some irony in the statement, especially coming from him, it was true. "You want to work on it during lunch this week? I've got a free period from ten to eleven, but I don't know what your schedule's like." His was pretty hectic. Between the classes he wanted N.E.W.T.s in and the ones that Michael silently demanded he try for, he had a lot going on.

Willow remembered the first time she'd tried to schedule a meeting with Silver, how he'd thought she didn't want to actually meet him, because her schedule was so busy. "Lunches work the best for me. I don't think I have a schedule so much as a full day's work." Her eyes sparkled for a moment at a thought, "I mean we could meet in the evenings, but I bet you have much more interesting things to be doing at home."

Dare gave a roguish grin. "I wouldn't want to brag," he teased, then gave a casual shrug of his shoulders. "I work late, so there's really not much time, but I'm open Saturday afternoons if you've got time on the weekend." The shop was open then, and though he liked sitting with Michael, Sunday was their big day together.

Willow chuckled at how stereotypically Ravenclaw it would be to work through Saturdays. "I'm only meeting you for work on Saturdays if there's something fun involved." She ran a hand through her hair, twisting in into a small knot. "I've made a pact with myself to try and experience more of life than books." It had been Silver's fault, that first conversation she'd had with him here had really introduced the desire not only to be a bookworm, but know the feeling and meanings behind some of what she was quoting. After all, Dare was the inspiration for living life through experience not through books.

"Really," Dare asked, his lips curving into a crooked smile. "Any plans on how? Or is that what the curse-breaking is for?" Was there anyplace in the area that needed curses broken? Or did she intend to set up curses, then break them? Either way, he didn't think that kind of practice counted as experiencing life.

Willow couldn't help the laugh, "well, it's a start for me, and at least the interning in Egypt part is living right?" Her eyes teased as she looked over at Dare, "Silver says you know how to experience life. You could always show me if I'm doing it wrong." She resisted the urge to stick her tongue out at him, she felt very much like a small child with their friend under a tree plotting how to upset the day.

Dare's brows arched at that. "Silver said that?" he asked. A beat passed, then he grinned. "As always, he's right. I'm pretty damned elite. Haven't died yet." That in itself seemed like a miracle on reflection. He'd walked into more experiences in the past two years than he'd guess most people had in a lifetime. Silver didn't know half the things he'd done, but he guessed what his brother did know had been enough for that assessment.

Willow nodded, "yeah, he said it. I think we were talking about how we admired people who just experienced life." She folded her arms up, sticking her hands in either end of her cardigan as she watched the lake, a tentacle breaking through the surface just barely. "So, you think you can show me how to experience better than a trip to Egypt?"

Dare chuckled lightly, his mind still hovering on the thought of Silver bringing him up as someone to admire. He didn't think he was that great, but it was decent to hear. It took him a moment to turn his mind back to what Willow was saying now, and he gave a teasing grin. "Any day," he told her. "As long as Michael doesn't find out." He wasn't serious by any means. In fact, it reminded him that he ought to tell Michael what was going on. If he had someone else helping him out with his charms, that would be that much less stress when they had a little time together.
