Ariel didn't know what the deal was with the twins, but they left without a fight and he made sure they were completely gone before he shut the door and went to Jory. He didn't like the fact that tears were obvious on Jory's cheeks, but he wasn't surprised. “Are you okay?” he asked as he slid his wand away, the shield disappearing as he did so.

Jory was dumbfounded by the way the guys just left, so for a moment all he could do was stare blankly at the closed door. He shook his head absently at whatever it was Ariel had said, and then it clicked in his mind; Ariel had saved him. Within seconds his arms were in a death grip around Ariel's waist and he had buried his face against Ariel's chest. “Thank you,” he mumbled against the cloth. And then again, and again.

Ariel's eyes widened and his muscles tensed at the unexpected contact before he raised an awkward hand to pat lightly at Jory's back a couple of times. “You're welcome...” he said, then started wondering how long he was required to accept the hug before he was allowed to push Jory away. He decided it really didn't matter if it was proper or not, and that he was most definitely uncomfortable. He reached back to pull Jory's hands and arms from him.

Jory felt the tension, but it didn't register that he possibly shouldn't have his arms wrapped around Ariel until he felt his arms being pried off. He jerked them back and dropped his head, bringing his hands up to dry his cheeks and eyes. “Sorry,” he breathed. “I just...I mean, I just wanted to do some homework, and then they were being all creepy and said they were turning the room into a BDSM store and they grabbed me and pushed me in.” And he had been thoroughly terrified.

Ariel sighed in relief at the absence of arms around him, but the relief was short-lived in light of the sudden story that came from Jory's mouth. “They didn't do anything to you, right?” Well, other than scaring him. It looked like he had gotten there just in time. He didn't want to imagine what those two guys would have done if they had been in the room alone with Jory and, of all things, BDSM materials.

Jory shook his head and brought his hands together in front of him, sniffing before he spoke. “No. They grabbed my arms really tight and I think they were going to hurt me.” And he couldn't have done anything about it, he knew it. “One said that if I didn't shut up they'd hex me.” So he had shut his mouth, hoping that if he did what they said then he would be okay. “Were you really gonna fight them?” he asked, finally looking up at Ariel with red eyes.

“If I had to,” Ariel said. “It's not like I go looking for fights, but I wasn't going to let them do whatever it was they were planning on doing to you. Are you going to be okay?” He didn't want to be stuck in here, though he wasn't sure that he could leave a panicked Jory alone if Jory wasn't ready for that yet. He couldn't help but wonder why the guys had targeted Jory, though the Princess comment made at least one reason fairly obvious.

“Yeah,” Jory said, nodding, though his eyes darted over to the door and his teeth found his bottom lip as soon as the word was free from his lips. He really hoped that he never met those guys again. “I don't think I want to be here anymore. But thank you.” He forced his eyes away from the closed door and looked up at Ariel again. “Thanks for saving me.”

“It's fine,” Ariel assured Jory. “Listen, this is the Room of Requirement, it'll do whatever you want. You can change the room and make it refuse anyone else, so they can't get back in.” If Jory was so willing to leave, then Ariel thought it was fairly obvious that Jory didn't know much about the room. “Will you be okay if I leave?”

Jory thought for a minute, then gave a little nod, his eyes slipping down to his hands again. “I think I'll hide in here for a little while.” He was so glad that Ariel had come in when he had. If it wasn't for Ariel, then he would be...who knew what, being beaten, maybe? He shivered at the thought and tried to block that from his mind. Ariel told him to just focus on what he wanted, and then left him to recuperate on his own.
