That kiss, as simple as it was, was a wave of pleasure crashing over him. A tidal wave, pulling him into her as his lips parted. It was too much to stand, but all the same, with his reservations gone, with someone he hadn't known he loved and the joy that glowed between them, it was easy to want and to let his hands take. He'd never felt this amazing in his life, he was sure of it!

It felt...there were no words she knew to describe this feeling of being cherished, held by someone who cared as much as she did. Each moment was something that she relished lived in, and in a normal circumstance might have cataloged for future reference, but there was no future or past in this exact second, rather there was only this present, in Lyric's arms.

What Lyric wanted, the room provided, and Quinn provided. The music pulsed on in perfect time to his heartbeat, and he knew again that nothing in existence could feel this blissful. Had he ever cried tears of joy? Had he ever told someone that he loved them more than life? He had no regrets, no fears, only this endless moment of perfection. It didn't matter if she couldn't understand his words, if she didn't know the language. Love was universal.

A small goofy smile rested on Quinn's face, if she could think beyond herself and Lyric she might have thought that Markise had been right about a lot of things. Her mind was still in that amazing glow of what had just happened, her body tired, but her mind moving. Soft fingers traced the lines of a tattoo on Lyric's body, her fingers reveling in the feels, "what did you get these for?"

Lyric lay in complete mindless ecstasy, and there was no resistance to the question. "To tell the world to f~ off," he said. All three of them had been for that reason, though there were other reasons as well, different ones. "I got the star to be cool," he said. "And this says Freedom," he went on, turning his left arm up so she could see the swirling letters and numbers there. "I got it on my seventeenth with Jory. And the one on my neck because I'm not going to be what people want me to be." Energy was still coursing through him, and he turned slightly, pulling up the back of his hair so she could see the small round symbol there.

Quinn thought that the tattoos were the more inventive thing she had ever seen. She let her fingers brush over the tattoo on his neck. "I talked to Jory like you said, I ran in to him when I was buying my shirt," which she could care less the location of right now. "What happened with Jory, who was he?" She knew very little, and she couldn't find a reason to be upset at him, nto anymore, not now that she was with Lyric.

"I don't know who he is anymore," Lyric said, closing his eyes against the feel of her fingertips against him. "We were friends, but he didn't want to be friends anymore. I always cared about him, he was the first person who cared about me, so it hurt when he left. It hurt so bad, but I forgive him, I love him." He'd never have said a word of it sober, but even with the drug in his system, most of it was true. He didn't know or care what love was, and he didn't know how to forgive, but only because it still hurt.

It seemed complicated, but not, it fit with how she was feeling, Quinn's lips pressed against his tattoo now. "I understand forgiveness. For some reason I was upset that I hadn't made friends here, but now, now I understand." She especially felt understanding that there was a bigger connection to everyone, it wasn't just Lyric and her, everyone must feel this way on the inside, the warm ball of feeling unfurling.

Lyric nodded, but he had too much energy to just nod. He needed to move, so he moved to stand and might have returned to dancing if it hadn't felt so cool outside the blissful warmth of the covers. He tugged on his pants and, spying the goblets of water, picked them both up. "You should drink," he told her. He wasn't thirsty and he wouldn't be thirsty, but even with his mind floating as high as it was, he knew they should drink. He offered Quinn a goblet before emptying his own.

Sitting up in the bed seemed like a shame, but when Lyric offered her the goblet of water, she accepted it, and drank deeply. "Lyric?" she wondered out loud. "You're letting me touch you now, but before, you were having trouble, why?" It seemed such a shame with everything that they were sharing to remember that, but she was loving touching him, and she didn't see a reason to ever stop.

Only the complete disappearance of his inhibitions allowed Lyric to face the question, let alone answer it. "It feels wrong to be touched," he said, "but I don't know why. It feels good now. It should always feel good. The drugs help. Then I don't have to think because it all feels amazing." He hadn't forgotten what happened to him, not really, but it was all forgiven, so it didn't make sense.

Quinn grinned as she pulled the sheets closer to keep her warm, "it does feel amazing doesn't it?" The blush on her cheeks flooded her entire body. "I don't like to be touched by most men, but you never even scared me." Although she doubted that it would scare her now, nothing seemed to scare her right now.

Lyric nodded, but the music was getting to him again. It spoke to his soul, and he had too much energy to resist. "Dance," he said, beginning to take his own advice and move. Setting down his magically-refilled goblet was a secondary thought to raising his arms and throwing himself into dancing.

Quinn found herself laughing at the abandon in Lyric's body, the wholly focused energy as he danced, and the mood she was in everything more alive, and watching him was contagious. She slowly got up, and for a moment she regretted the loss of freedom as she shrugged on her clothes, but it was lost in a moment as she followed the rhythm of Lyric, moving as he moved, the love she was feeling flowing through her, around her, and she just couldn't stop.

All Lyric wanted to do was dance, so he danced, bouncing, arching, whatever the music inspired. He wanted to touch her, so he pulled her into dancing with him, his hands guiding the motion of her hips or bringing her arms up, anything to keep contact and keep moving. They had hours to do this, to do whatever they wanted without worrying about the past or future.
