Celyn couldn't help but role her eyes as she came to the edge of the forest. Recently, it wasn't so forbidden anymore and it had become the 'it' place to hang out for most students if not all. Still it's vast size allowed for the students to find more isolated places and the chances of running into someone else was very low.
Wandering for ages Celyn took herself deep enough so that she wouldn't be found, but not deep enough to get lost. In fact, she had left marks upon the tree's in case she did get lost which she highly doubted.
Faintly wondering why she chose the forest, it finally dawned on her that the canopy of trees prevented snow from piling up too high which suited her well, and with her robes charmed to keep her warm, she could barely feel the affects of winter. Despite the warm and snug feeling she felt, there was the evident splash of pink on her face which she hid well with the thick curtain of raven hair.
Celyn walked over to a boulder and settled down on it, pulling out her sketchbook, she flipped to the drawing she had started and hadn't completed quite yet and began to fill in the details. Celyn's attention was fully focused on her drawing.

Quinn had been visiting one of the oldest trees in the forest, it was inhabited with bowtruckles, she smiled as she thought about how chatty they had been the first time that she'd visited. Lost in her own thoughts, Quinn didn't see the girl on the boulder until it was to late to slip into the forest unnoticed, she had been disappointed to often to seek conversations, even though this one was with a girl, and they didn't intimidate her as much.

Celyn was too engrossed in her drawing, the gentle strokes and curves of the feminine form and the harsh and angled one of a male. It wasn't long before the intimately woven bodies of lovers had taken shape. She was pushed against the wall, leg raised to his hips, supported by his hands as her skirt was high up on her thigh.
As she examined her picture it finally dawned on her that she wasn't in the common room so she slowly looked around and saw nothing. Just as she was going to return to her drawing movement caught her eyes and she saw the figure of a girl around the same age as her step into the clearing she was in. For a moment she wanted to curse, this was her alone time, but... she could always try and be nice. "Hello..." it was the best she could do at that moment.

Quinn maneuvered the bag that she was carrying so it was slightly less visible, "uhm, hello." She really had only run into a few people out in the forest before, and not anyone in a few weeks. "I didn't mean to...I was just passing through on my way back to the school." And if she was tempted to stay, she'd have to make very certain that she hadn't seen where she was coming from, the bowtruckles wouldn't be very happy if someone else found them, and neither would the other creatures that she'd been visiting of late.

Celyn smiled; she wasn’t the sociable type, but she did get along fairly well with a lot of people. Celyn saw the shift in the girls posture, angling one side of her body away, but Celyn didn’t pay much attention to what it was; it wasn’t in her nature to pry. “It’s quite alright. It’s not my forest to tell you where to go.” Celyn, returned to look at the drawing in her arms she should cover it and she should hide it, but honestly she could careless if it offended this girl or not.

Quinn hadn't meant it like that, in fact this girl was in a path that she normally took, the unicorns generally ran right through here, and she'd been picking up hair for the last week in this area. "I'm sure that the animals would agree with you. They are wont to believe that the forest belongs to them," that and the plants, but sometimes there wasn't much difference between the plants and the animals of the forest.

Celyn shrugged indifferently, in all honesty she could careless about what anyone or any being thought about this forest being there's. "Well, it's become a public haven for most. Creatures are probably getting used to the idea that humans are here all the time."
Celyn looked down on her sketchbook and slowly continued to draw, her strokes short and gentle and when an imperfection was made she only smiled and continued on. "I think students spend more time in here than they do in the castle." she wasn't sure all that was coming from, but she supposed there was some form of decency in her.

Quinn shrugged, "I usually don't see that many people here, in fact you're the third person in five months I've run across." She looked down at her feet, "although I suppose I would rather live here than the dorms, and I do generally spend more time here." At least the animals paid attention to her, she blushed as she thought about who else paid attention to her. It seemed like despite the snow it was suddenly getting very warm.

"It's hard to find people here, the forest is too large, but I wouldn't doubt the fact that a few other students maybe in here somewhere." Celyn would every once in a while glance down to draw a bit more before returning her focus to Quinn. When she spoke she would look down and speak, pausing momentarily so that her words didn't sound meaningless. "I don't think many older students enjoy the dorms nor the common room. It's usually filled with the younger students who are too afraid to go anywhere else." she stopped drawing and looked up her eyes squinting for a moment. There were many odd people in this school, the younger kids keeping to themselves, the older students fighting over trivial things, and then there were the outsiders who just didn't conform to any standard but wandered around doing whatever they needed to do or wanted to do, she found them to be the lost type. It dawned on her that she didn't give the girl her name, well she wasn't really interested in doing so, so if this girl asked she would respond.

Quinn shrugged, "I wouldn't know, I haven't been here long enough." If she thought that the younger kids would talk to her, she might have tried, but even they seemed to get scared off. Possibly wondering why someone years older was talking to them, or trying to get them to talk back. Those things were generally seen as things that would drive most people away, if not call the authorities.

Celyn's American accent prevented people from believing that she had been in Hogwarts all her life, but that didn't bother her. With a hint of curiosity, she faintly wondered where this girl was from. "How long have you been here?" instead of directly asking she asked a simpler question.

To long, and not long enough Quinn thought to herself. "I've been here for about six months, since August." Technically she'd started school a bit early, but that had been to acclimate to the climate after so long being home-schooled. She adjusted how her bag was sitting against her shoulder as she thought about meeting Lyric for the first time a few months ago. How much she'd wanted to make friends then, "what are you doing?"

Celyn titled her head to the side, it was probably the reason why she didn't recognize the girl. Despite the vastness of the castle, Hogwarts housed a fairly small amount of students than would be expected. Then again, Celyn had a fairly lacking social life recently, she wasn't too fond of being in a large crowd.
Celyn had looked down to her drawing as soon as Quinn asked the question. She faintly wondered if this girl was saying that because she didn't notice the sketchpad, or because she was trying to continue conversation. Either way, she shrugged casually and kept her eyes on the drawing. "The forest is fairly quiet, thought I would just come here and draw." she immediately pulled her sketchbook to her chest, it was something she always did when she spoke of her drawings.

Quinn saw the movement of the girl's sketchpad to her chest, and she decided not to press further. A few months ago she would have, even a month ago she might have. Lyric had helped that, knowing how to deal with him, was helping her learn to read signals other people were giving off. It seemed like she didn't want other people knowing about what she was doing, or at least seeing what she was doing, and that was okay with Quinn. If she craved contact with people, she would go find Lyric or Markise, they would both talk to her.

The girls silence made Celyn raise a brow. It wasn't the type of silence that Celyn usually enjoyed or accepted, but it was awfully awkward to her. The girl asked her a question and Celyn responded, then it sort of stopped. It then dawned on Celyn that she had been referring to her as 'the girl' in her head and should at least ask for a name. "I didn't quite catch your name." she thought that breaking the silence this way would make things better. Trent now her. What is it with these people? Celyn hadn't realized she thought this out loud.
