It was a Thursday morning in Hogwarts, just another Thursday. And the rested sun rose across the grounds in a magnificent sunset like every other. Early riser she was, Meghan Princeton made her way down to the Great Hall for a, well what could she say? Nice breakfast?, it just meant another day of class. Whatever it was, Meghan made her way down to the doors for something cold to eat.
Wooden doors thrown open led to an empty great hall, the mornings food was served and the place was completely deserted.
"Why am I always alone?" Meghan swore heavily. "Apparently the good-for-nothing misfits don't know how to wake up on time around here?"
She shook her head and made her way over to the deserted Slytherin table. Might as well eat... She thought bitterly as she plopped herself down near the end of the table.
After putting down a plateful of eggs, cinnamon toast, and fruit, as well as a goblet full of pumpkin juice, Meghan settled back to wait for the other students...

Ryan walked in the school from outside, he had been out all night, and walked into the great hall and saw only one other person in there at the slytherin table. Ryan walked over and sat at the Hufflepuff table right across from the girl and took a couple of looks at her as his food came up and he started to eat.

Finally somebody else is alive. Meghan thought bitterly, staring at the boy. Hufflepuff...must be, he's at there table. Oh well, might as well be somewhat social. Nice shiny prefect badge he's got there though. Better behave, Meghan...
"Thought....thought I was the only awake at this hour." Meghan called to the prefect. Tsk...Hufflepuffs. I don't really know Hufflepuffs.

Ryan smiled "You might be the only one to wake up at this hour, but not the only one to be awake." he said as he looked around "Best time of the day, the only time i can hear myself think in here."

"Isn't it? The peace and quiet is nice during breakfast, but its lonely. The girls in my dorm are passed out cold, and I didn't feel like hexing them first thing in the morning...you know to get them awake." Meghan sighed, taking a swig of her pumpkin juice.
"What time did you get up, anyways?" She asked, kind of snarkily.

Ryan smiled and laughed a little "To get up you have to first go to sleep, and I didn't do that. I guess you can say that I got up yesterday."

Idiot she thought. But hey, if the boy wants to stay up all night, who is she to judge?
"Why is that?" She laughed. "I enjoy my sleep, the Slytherin's think I'm kind of strange sometimes because I go to bed so early. I can't help it."
I hope my part veelaness isn't what is making this guy talk to me, Hufflepuff or not. I need friends that don't just talk to me because of my looks. Make grimaced a bit, hoping the boy didn't notice.

Ryan smiled and looked at the girl "I am a night person. I always love being out a night, enjoying the moonlight and all of nature without it being interrupted by people."

She had to agree with this. "People can be annoying. Even my house of Slytherin's. But moonlight, I have to say, is over-rated. After seeing the moon for almost 15 years, it gets kind of dry. Sleep is much nicer." She laughed again. "But what can I say? I get up before the sun has even risen."

Ryan laughed "I just find something peaceful about being out with nature at night. I don't do it all of the time though, and I do get my sleep."

"You know, that's why I sometimes get up an hour earlier. And I nearly always have the Great Hall to myself for a while. But you definitely need sleep, I stayed up all night once. Feel asleep in the middle of charms, it was rather embarrasing" Meghan told the boy.

"Well you're lucky then. I have no control over sleep what-so-ever. Except for waking up, but that barely counts." She laughed, noticing she was running out of food, and still hungry, Meghan piled more french toast onto her plate. Stupid magical blood, making me hungry. Meghan thought bitterly.
