Ryan smiled "Just been thinking about this past summer, had alot of stress trying to help out my best friend, he went through a rough time with a bad relationship and parent problems, and i dealt with my own relationship problems."

Bad relationships and parent problems. That sounds oddly familiar, Vannah thought to herself. "That sucks. Is he okay?" She asked in a concerned voice. "Are you okay?" The realization that Vannah could be setting him up for something like that hit her hard.

Vannah moved the cup around and placed her hands on the other sides to keep them warm. "That's good." A wave of guilt washed over her and it her hard. She remembered why she didn't want to do this and the blood momentarily drained from her face.

Ryan looked at Vannah and could see that something was going through her mind so he asked "Anything wrong?"

Vannah shook her head. "I think I'm going to head back to the castle." She said. She took out some coins paying for both of the Firewhiskeys, hers still untouched, and hopped off the stool. "Thanks, Ryan. It was fun." She said to him. Vannah turned and tried to find a way through the crowded room outside.

"Look, Ryan. I'm not lying. I just want to get back, okay?" Vannah said exasperated. She wasn't lying and it stung that she thought she was, but she just needed to think. She turned back and started to cut through the crowds.
